Now you're going to worry about too much power being given to the police? Not when they're being given military weaponry?

Only a judge can decide that someone is mentally ill against their will.

But a police department with military-grade weapons and an APV can turn even the largest civilian arsenal into a joke.

Yall weren't whining when this snip began in 1934 and continued right up until this year.

All gun control is a violation of due process.

Trump said take the guns, and leave the cannoli so to speak

You are such a Godfatherist.

Joke aside I would say forget the fascism, both sides have devolved into Machiavellian nightmare fuel. As for the fascism? well i'm no oxford scholar but Trump, you are the weakest link-goodbye.

Are you f***ing kidding me? The over-militarization of the police has always been a primary complaint of groups like BLM. But even before that the Left had been complaining about it.

The response from the Right? If you're not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about it.

About what ?

Never been taken to court and proven unfit to practice an INALIENABLE right.

Nope not kidding.

Due process is the legal requirement that the state must respect all legal rights that are owed to a person. Due process balances the power of law of the land and protects the individual person from it.

I’m not sure why anyone argues with the caricatures here on ATS anymore.

You people have never seen actual fascism.

Actual fascism is far from mere regulation of a specific type of gun.

I really don't like straw men all that much.

But hey if you really want to push it.

Over militarization of the police meets the disarming of the John Q public.

What do you call that?

If you think the US is such a fascism system, you could always try China.

You know, where they've banned the letter "N" from their vocabulary.

No thank you.

Firearm ownership law in the People's Republic of China heavily regulates the ownership of firearms. Generally, private citizens are not allowed to possess firearms.

No need to go to China since commies have came here.

Wake me up when what Democrats say about guns is policy.

Seems like you've got a double standard going on there. Democrats say "take the guns first" and "oh my god! we have to stop them!" but when Trump says it "pffff, call me when it becomes law, no big deal".

See how hypocritical that sounds? Giving one guy a pass while acting like the world is going to end when another does the same thing.

I don't know how you guys can debate this cat. I get worn out just reading his drivel.

inalienable right
noun
a right according to natural law, a right that cannot be taken away, denied, or transferred

natural law
noun
a principle or body of laws considered as derived from nature

So, unless you can show me to the nearest "gun tree" or explain to me how some higher cosmic power gave us guns, you're dead wrong. You should really stop beating that dead horse into the ground. Won't make it right regardless of how many times you spout it.

Also, as an afterthought. If it is indeed an inalienable right as you suggest, then why do we have to pay for such items? If it's my 'god-given' right, then I expect it to be completely left out of other's hands. How dare they charge me to own something that is my right to possess ?!?!

It only says "arms" which by itself would indicate anything that falls under the definition of the word. en.oxforddictionaries.com...

arms:
Weapons; armaments.
‘arms and ammunition’

If you won't mind my so-called drivel.

Good question since the 1934 National Firearms Act put a poll tax on them more or less.

They should be free, but then again speech really isn't free since your paying someone to read their snip or generating ad revenue for someone else.

Bout the only thing left is voting, but IDs do cost some cash.

Well, they've banned the letter N when used alone.

Still not sure why though.
