From wherever the hell I stumbled in from, it was Bakker there, too. I'm from a reality where Challenger blew up in 1984. And I wish to hell I was making that up.

What???

It was always 'Bakker." It was always unusual that their last name had two Ks.

That's in our timeline. Not that other one.
Our timeline has been invaded by outsiders.

I am NOT an invader, thankyouverymuch. I got dumped here while I was asleep or something.

Good evening, I just want to say that I can only remember them as Baker, if it was Bakker he would be from Dutch heritage. Maybe someone knows if they were. Iam a Dutchman and my surname is; van den Heuvel (means, from the hill).
Bakker (means, baker as in baking bread)

😎👍😎
😎👍😎

Well, he did like having dough and making that bread...

You are right, no Jim Bakers around anymore. A quick search shows that Bakker is Dutch for baker.

The English name Baker is from the Middle English bakere and Old English bæcere which is a derivative of bacan meaning to bake or dry by heat.

Jim and Tammy certainly did rake in the bacon (bacan) and Jim got plenty of pork on the side.

I think it was Baker.
I asked my wife, she said Bakker.
If my wife and I are on separate time lines, how did we meet?

And what happens now?

Absolutely Baker, 100%, no doubt in my mind. I grew up in. Charlotte, which is right by Tega Cay, their base of operations. They were a huge deal around here, and I absolutely remember Baker. I would definitely recall it being Bakker. This # is nuts....

Wow - that's a valuable response.

Actually there are all good responses here.. Thanks to all, stars all around.

It's seems like "its" in a faster stage now... as though it comes in waves. It just settled down, then picked back up and seems to be gaining speed. I wish I knew what it meant..

I'm not trying to tease about another change, but there's another biggie I'm working on that I haven't seen reported anywhere else (can't believe no one else has noticed it) - it's going to take a bit more research (want my ducks in a row for that one).

Point being the new changes are over-the-top nuts and are happening fast.

Please don't wait for a future post - please keep posting the 'what, where and why' of what you remember on Baker - and thank you again.

There are a few people in that boat. I don't know what to say to help.

Know that she's still the same person, but the details of her past aren't going to match yours - typically the gist is the same so it wouldn't of changed how she developed as a person (Baker was still a con, and still went to jail). All I can say is 'chin up' and focus on your love for that person.

Baker. But then again a Berenstein person. And Pete Townsend (so I got that going against me).

Like Townshend, I would have mercilessly made fun of Backer, just for kicks as I was a bit of an a-hole back then.

I remember this from Zappa’s, Jim and Tammy’s Upper Room (Steve Vai on stunt guitar).

Google has massive residue on “Baker” as that is my first option.

Good catch!!

Always been Bakker. I remember Jessica Hahn discussing the name spelling vs pronunciation on Howard Stern in the late 80’s - early 90’s.

I always remembered Bakker...when I was a kid I thought it was odd that it had a double "K" and it was still "Bay-ker" and not "Bock-er."

I can remember thinking I couldn't understand why anyone would give this man the time of day in the 80s. I still can't figure it out.

That's a good one!

I'm sure it was Baker.
I'm wrong.

And sorry but until it's answered I'm gonna keep asking....
When did you change your name from PearlJ?
