UK, there are 200,000 performed yearly.

It is all a moot point tbh the USA nor the UK will never ban abortion.
This isn't the middle east.

most couples will sit down like sane people and discuss the option between themselves and reach an agreement. sometimes though, they can't find agreement. while it is the women who gets the final decision, often times, the women will let the father have his way.... that is in the normal sane relationships, where there is love, and respect for each other. I would venture to guess that there a many abortions that occur, not so much because the mother really wants on but rather the father either wanted her to have one or somehow gave her the impression he did.
this whole thing that men don't have a say is utter bull... I think they usually do. it's just that the women is the one that gets to make the final decision.
in traditional marriages, it's the husband that gets the final decision in everything... that is what is preached in the churches. and women are to accept whatever it is that they decide and support them. and those that preach this seem to think that it's not a big thing to ask a women, after all, there can be only one leader in the home, right?
well, it shouldn't be that difficult for them to accept that in the area of reproduction, the women should have the final say.... after all it's not a matter of weather you will get to buy your truck, or spend a little money on kids clothes, or weather your wife should be home coddling you or off working to buy those clothes because you have yoru truck to enjoy... it's about her body being compromised for nine months, her exposing herself to the risks of that compromise... to bring a child into the world that you can place that new truck (or whatever) above and use as an excuse to keep her home cleaning up after you and coddling you.

abortion happens when it is just a bunch of cells, later abortions when the fetus is dead and rotting in the womans body slowly killing her but i suppose thats ok its ok only a woman after all, or the womans body is dying and an abortion is the only option but again i suppose she should sacrifice herself for a fetus that will die to as the host is dead and wont be able to grow it
