A.G. JEFF SESSIONS Prepares a Major Probe into OBAMA Admin FISA Abuse.

Earlier this month, the House and Senate Intelligence Committees issued reports indicating extreme abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) by top-ranking DOJ-FBI personnel, in former President Barack Obama's administration.

Today, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions confirmed that the House/Senate reports indicate enough potential wrong-doing, to warrant an investigation by Department of Justice Inspector General, Michael E. Horowitz. (OIG Overview: oig.justice.gov... )

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday the inspector general of the Department of Justice will probe allegations of government surveillance abuse, in light of the memos released on Capitol Hill about FBI and DOJ efforts to obtain FISA warrants to surveil a Trump campaign adviser.

“We believe the Department of Justice must adhere to the high standards in the FISA court,” Sessions said during a news conference Tuesday. “Yes it will be investigated. And I think that's just the appropriate thing the inspector general will take, as one of the matters he'll deal with.”

“Let me tell you, every FISA warrant based on facts submitted to that court have to be accurate,” he said. “That will be investigated and looked at, and we are not going to participate at the Department of Justice in providing anything less than the proper disclosure to the court before they issue a FISA warrant.”

The involvement of the inspector general is significant. Over the last year, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been conducting a review of the FBI and DOJ’s actions related to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state. A final report on the investigation is expected within a few weeks.

There are now at least 5 investigations into mutliple layers of potential laws broken by Obama's Administration and Hillary Clinton, in coordination with a British spook and a Russian oligarch, to SPY ON and CREATE DIRT ON presidential candidate Donald Trump, his family, and campaign personnel. (People who get their news from CNN, ABC, NBC, etc., are stunned...then defensive...when they learn this.)

AG Jeff Sessions said last week that it's looking as if there is enough evidence being unearthed by the existing investigations, for a Special Counsel, or Federal Grand Jury, to take the lead. Once the big OIG report is issued by Inspector General Michael Horowitz in a few weeks, most believe that Sessions will then name a Special Prosecutor. The White House officially gave Mr. Sessions its approval last week.

We've got a couple things going for us so far as IG Horowitz is concerned. He was really given the run around by folk in the last admin by stonewalling and otherwise limiting his power.

Going to war with deep state actions is all up hill but the IG dug in--he's sharp and formidable--got his powers back and he's getting some cooperation.

One early indicator of how serious a report this might be--finally--is that details from within the OIG report already caused Wray to remove McCabe. Looks like there's FBI white hats reporting to Horowitz too and altering 302's is only a part.

We've also got an outsider President this time and he's also the main victim of the criminal collusion, conspiracy, and cover-up that is now coming unraveled and drug into the light.

Let's hope Horowitz is the real deal and won't let big names slip away. I think he's serious about his job. If so, he's gonna deserve a top-tier medal.

Well if you mean nothing bad happened to Obama I would have to agree. However, if you think nothing bad happened to the country over his eight years in office I would have to remind you that it is impossible to convince someone of something different from that they lived. Things immediately come to mind like my tripling of health insurance costs and no economic growth. Then there was Benghazi and the IRS scandal. The list is very long if you care to open your eyes.

Your whataboutism aside....im not making reference to "pressurizing" the FBI. Was that autocorrect? If so, i'd need to see evidence of him politicizing the FBI before entertaining the thought.
