Anarchy is as much a pipe dream as communism. Both ideologies ignore human nature.

what is Human nature though outside of all these systems of domestication, domination, and authority? does anyone "know" there have been.. "tribes" or groups of people who existed before "civilisation", colonisation, domestication etc that have lived and thrived

and 'anarchy' is not an economic or social system, it is not a forced installation of something, but the complete negation of things

Yes, I'm well aware of what anarchy is. I was an anarchist from about 16-19, then I entered the real world and with that came the understanding that anarchy could never work in a group of more than a few hundred.

You've never seen Communism in practice as it's an utopian idea. There have never been communist countries, only parties that claimed (and failed) to be communist.

And you will never see it at all. It does not matter if its a Utopian idea. It has been implemented time and time again, with the same results.

You argue over idea/theory vs reality.

I will repeat myself: Communism has never been implemented. Here is what communism stands for:

a theory or system of social organization in which all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs.

No country operates like this. Same way you never had a liberal society anywhere in the world, or a purely capitalist one. You can have some of the ideals but never the full thing. This is a fact, not a matter of opinion.

Correct. But human nature has been perverted by the idea of "money". We were not an hierarchy before, we became one with the advent of trading. Our instincts as a species are actually to help others preserve themselves.

Konduit had it - State Capitalism is a better description than mine. The government doesn't control production directly as they would in how communism has been implemented.

The SOEs are not profitable as they generally are subsidized. I love their business model... race to the bottom to get market share and then run out of money because you can't earn a profit! It's even funnier when non-SOEs like Huawei try to do the same thing. Yes they sell more phones than Apple but also had 28 models last year in all market segments and made 90% less profit than Apple! Way to commoditfy yourself out of business ala Nokia.

They are continuing to "harmonize" discussion today and I had a few conversations at work about it today. Some prominent organizations are now in some trouble over their comments about it as well.

Yes, "Human Nature" has been defined with these systems in place, domestication, authority etc, so people have been indoctrinated with this idea of Human Nature existing based on these facts and enforced morals and ethics based on Religion and State authoritarianism. these are all 'spooks', 'phantasms' that don't exist but have been indoctrinated as an authoritative implant in our minds

With this story in the news there have been some side-by-side pictures of Mao Zedong and Xi Jinping.

Did anyone else see one of those and suddenly wonder...wait a second, is Xi Jinping actually (one of?) Mao Zedong's sons? Mao probably did have a lot of kids so maybe, eh?

He is not one of Mao's.

It's well documented where he came from. However it was a crony of Jiang Zi Min's before he turned on him.

China has approved the scrapping of term limits so Xi Jinping is now President for life , the vote was carried by a majority of 2,964 votes to two with three abstentions.

Xi Jinping thought is the ideology approved by the Communist Party last October. Officially, it is "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era".

Schoolchildren, college students and staff at state factories will have to study the political ideology, which the Communist Party is trying to portray as a new chapter for modern China.

All hail the new Mao

China has gone from a committee-based dictatorship, to a person-based dictatorship. What this does is remove an important check on power, that of delay. It takes time to push things through the Communist Paty's central committee where policy can be decided. Now that is becoming superficial.

Poor China.

Confirmed that they did remove his limits yesterday China time. Some unhappy folks will have their WeChat accounts blocked today I think. Half of wife's family will be super pissed and the other half will be super happy.

Xi also did a few other crazy things -

Refused to name 2 younger successors to the highest council in China
Brought back Wang as possible VP, he's 69 years old, generally considered too old for the position, Li Keqiang was liked by many including us expats for improving our situation in China.

Plus now we have the opening salvo of a full scale trade war brewing.
