Here's The Answer: Ban Gunpowder

I see a lot of threads trying to figure out this gun problem.
Yes, gun problem.
I'm sure that if we could push a button and all guns would "disappear" from the earth, we would push it.
However, since you can build a gun out of anything, even print one, this will never be a viable option.
So...
Let's just ban gunpowder!
Only licensed "blasters" can get gunpowder.
Problem solved??

I know, I know, people will just make air powered assault rifles.
But these won't be so readily available to every run-of-mill medically-depressed, overly-medicated, loser-psychopath. Right?

I mean, I have a shotgun for coyotes and opossums - and of course intruders. But, I'd be down with trying to go with just arrows and samurai swords.

I'm guessing you are being sarcastic but that is not an answer in the least. people in the 11th century were making gun powder so I'm guessing people these days can make it as well. Black powder is simple as the 3 components are readily available at the local big box store. The gun powder in modern rifles is a little more complex but it isn't out of reach of a determined 14+yr old should they want to make it, and the components are as readily available though you may need to add an extra store or two to obtain supplies. IDK the exact procedure off hand but have watched videos on the manufacture and videos on the making of components for peoples in areas that are sanctioned like Gaza, west bank, Afghanistan, etc, and they weren't making black powder, they were making the same thing that is put in modern bullets and they seemed to work pretty darn well and I'm guessing many of these people either didn't have schooling the same level as most teens here let alone access to the stores that we have.

I concur. But some of the ones frozen would have to remain even after humankind grew up . Only takes one bad apple to spoil the bushel .

That is black powder. This hasn't been used in rifles or pistols since about 1870's or so. Now if you had a muzzleloader or cannon, you'd be in business!

theres not a gun problem , theres an irresponsible , stupid people problem. there are millions of guns in this country that will never kill anything let alone another human being. but there are a few dumba%%es that will take a gun a ruin it for everyone so rather than admit we have a mental health issue lets call it a gun problem. yea good idea , then they can take all our protection away and then make us do whatever they want when they want. wake up dude, put the kool aid down
