You're right. The difference of course being that the NRA is a civil rights group who is defending the bill of rights. Then there's planned parenthood who is defending a ruling from the 1970's.

Your title is false. Nothing is changing. School shootings are pretty normal now, every time they happen the left makes sure we don't fix the problem because they want to squeal like crazies at the NRA and complain that the problem is an inanimate object.

Mueller keeps doing the same thing too, indict americans for activities unrelated to the 2016 election. I guess he did hand out those faux indictments for some internet trolls. So I guess that's kind of new?

Again, nothing surprising about left wing colleges not punishing students for standing up for left wing causes.

BoycottNRA backfired, NRA had their largest ever membership increase. Ooops. Now the boycotting of NRA affiliates will probably be effective at reducing their bottom lines, but that's it. But the left loves to go after advertisers so again this is nothing new. They went after rush limbaugh's sponsors, they went after hannity's sponsors, they go after youtube sponsors who appear on video's they don't like. Same old same old.

The something different you feel is how deranged you've become (not personally, though that's probably accurate as well). The entire left has lost their mind. They're using kids as pawns, CNN is staging blatant propaganda, they look like a bunch of unhinged loons. They're finally coming out and admitting their goal is to get rid of the 2nd amendment, which will cost them big time in the midterms.

We are certainly living in interesting times, the left is in a death spiral and it's like a car crash, you can't help but rubberneck as you drive by it.

Too bad the right spend all their energy blaming the left for all the problems in America, if only the right could use just half of that energy on making a positive change, perhaps then things might change....

That's not a reasoned reply, we do have a rant forum for outbursts such as that, try there.

Looks like the counter-boycott is gaining some steam too, at least in Georgia, with representatives putting a smackdown on Delta:

edit on 27-2-2018 by Fowlerstoad because: added the word smackdown. Always a good word to use.

It all depends on what you consider positive change.

Looks to me like both sides are equally guilty of blaming the other, being petty, abusing the citizenry, taking advantage of their authority and the list goes on.

Both groups need to come together and figure out how to move forward without further restricting our already beseiged constitutional rights.

Looks like a lot of posts in this thread and not a rant by any real means. Text is not always the best medium to convey the passion one feels about a subject, a lot is often often lost in translation.

Another NRA member (and donating ~5 grand this year) here

It only seems like things are changing. The lamestream media has played up their anti-gun protests and reactions.

Fact is, each bill needs a LOT more signatures before it even makes it to Trump's desk. He won't sign any sort of ban, almost 100% certainty (and if he did, he'd lose my vote instantly)

The only bill that has a real chance of passing is the one improving background checks, which would not be a leftist/antigun victory since most pro-gun folks also support expanding access to NICS and enforcing existing laws...

As far as bans or other unconstitutional regulation? Never going to happen. Never in a million years. Not as long as this country keep's it common sense.

Just curious, a question for the anti-gunners here.

Someone explain to me how and why UNLAWFUL MURDER RATES haven't gone up in States with CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY (no permit required to conceal carry) ?

If someone can just explain this little tid bit to me, it'd go a long way.

And I don't want to hear any of this BS about "total shootings increasing" or anything like that. Only UNJUSTIFIABLE MURDER not justified homicide. Because more guns = more criminals being shot, that is a no-brainer. I'm talking about unlawful violent crime and unjustified murder (not justified defensive homicide)
