It’s seems American businesses are finally pushing back against the gun fetishists and the NRA. It looks as though they have finally realized the NRA members only represent a small portion of the American public.

Looks like they have finally over played their bluff.

It’s long past time to start treating these gun fetishists as the mental defectives they are.

Here at two companies leading the way.

It will never happen in this lifetime.
At least not while me and mine are still breathing.

And people need to educate themselves on what the NRA is truly all about.

Hint: It isn't killing kids...

From the first link:

On Thursday, First National, the country's largest privately held bank, with about $20 billion in assets, said it would stop issuing NRA-branded cards.

Willing to bet it makes more fiscal sense. I'm sure they'll thank you if they good.

Second (thinkprogress lol, political hackery at its finest):

The discounts were available to NRA members once they paid the $40 annual fee, and the companies were among the 22 corporations offering discounts and “five star savings” to the gun lobby’s members.

Same. The marketing they'll get vs the cost of NRA member benefits is justified methinks.

you mean caving to pressure from losing business and livelyhood because people are uneducated and cant tell you the difference between an automatic or a semi automatic, or what an AR-15 really is.

The same people who cant reconcile how gunfree zones are targetted, but you dont see shooters targetting police stations, airports, or other areas where people are heavily armed.

Weird.

Not sure what’s more amusing in this post

The math skills that relate to gun ownership being a small portion of America’s

Or the English skills utilizing the word fetish.

I did see an article today that the Florida Teachers Pension fund is divesting of gun manufacturers.

I don't own any firearms, but you just completely turned me off. 1/3 of Americans get sexually aroused by guns and are mentally defective? Remember you just grouped 120 million people into one category.

I think its your mind that is defective, not in your stance, but in your random judgements and illogical ideas about other people you dont know.

one instance. Somone closely related to me had top civilian clearence, worked on nuclear subs sidewinder missiles navy guns... building an airplane currently.

Guns dont "turn him on." he was expected to carry..
He is not mentally defective.

maybe if you restated your case in a more rational manner I could take it seriously.

Beware the statists and totalitarians who would do away with the civil liberties advocates.

I tried to find "dump the NRA" movement.

first hit was ATS. The next hit including those words was this CNBC article.

here

i agree with this. I could support you if you talked to me specifically about what you want.

Once again, many of the angry responses to the latest mass shooting focus on blaming the NRA.
But the NRA's influence and financial power is widely overstated.
Advocates for reducing gun violence fail by focusing on fighting the NRA instead of winning over the public with specific proposals

I read through wondering where dump nra came up. it was the last line.

"Dump the NRA!" is a bumper sticker, not a policy. America needs a new policy.

Right
Now , do we have any companies that matter ? Or , have a large enough revenue to have a major presence in the firearms market or the NRA ?
Didn't think so
Know how many times i have heard this same spiel ?
Too many to count in 60 years...

Don't knock it till you've tried.

I also don't appreciate your hatred aimed at my personal preferences.... Not very progressive, dude.

Looks like a good time to renew my membership I allowed to lapse about a year ago. Thanks for the reminder, OP.
