How long have you been on ATS?

How long have you been on ATS? And in the days of social media like facebook and instagram, what keeps you coming back?

For me, it will be 13 years in April.

As for what makes me keep coming back, I can't think of a reason not to. This site has a great group of people and each of us shares own on ideas and opinions. It's a great place to share minds.

Social Media doesn't dig for truth like this place does. Even if the nuggets are fewer and farther between they are still mined by some members.

Have to get past the no trespassing and shot on sight signs to pan for gold though.

First of all...I am really glad that ATS has such loyal members. You could be away for years and still find the same people when you come back.

I'm almost coming up on my first 10 years and in that time I had the inevitable addiction where eating and sleeping was of lesser importance than proving someone on ATS how wrong they were. Followed by self banning or leaving ATS...

Somehow we almost all come back. Although I mainly keep to the off-topic section, it will always be my home on the internet..

Here's to another 13 years!!

I was here back in 2004, but didn't sign up to be a part until 2007. I used to enjoy posting "anonymous".
It's a shame that's not an option anymore.

I've had an account for 3-4 years but was in the shadows for a good 5+ years before that. ATS has not been in my life for a decade yet, but I don't plan on going anywhere

Six years as a member, but I have been visiting for thirteen.

I remember my first visit the site was in my IT class, I was meant to be studying but I stumbled upon ATS and to be honest it looked like a MS word document. The first thread I ever stumbled upon was about advanced military weaponry, like railguns and so forth. I have been hooked ever since.

Long enough to see it go from a conspiracy, paranormal, and fringe science site to a overwhelming political forum.

I've been here since 2009. Back then, people are more interested in researching conspiracies. Right now, people have gone lazy and post Trump this and Trump that.

There are threads that occasionally do not get much traction, but produce bits and pieces of insider information. The longer you are around you see how that information then becomes verifiable. Sometimes it takes months and sometimes years.

I was lurker for a while with an interest in most things posted on ATS and decided to join in 2006 that was 12 years ago (I can count!!!). Oh how our wonderful site has changed!!

Some times this place gives me a headache , some times it makes me angry and some times it makes me sad but I guess until I get banned or follow esteemed members to the great forum in the sky I'll just keep logging on regardless of the infestation of political BS that has afflicted this place in recent years.

ATS has changed, in a bad way.

Has ATS gone mad? What has happened to the core value of this once great site!!!

I could go on and on but somewhere people should probably wake up to the fact that maybe it's not the site but instead peoples perception of this site that has changed.

Yes annoying trends come and go and I just avoid those. Makes my experience a lot more enjoyable...

How many of those days at high altitude would be an interesting stat.

I was just an intrigued reader for many years before I joined. ATS members and their usually high thinking ideas kept me coming back-and scaring me. Most frightening website EVER. Been a member about 4 years-mostly a reader-not much of a contributor-still listening and learning.
