So she earns her millions because she reads her script from a teleprompter? How exactly is her job hard enough that she deserves to be paid millions of dollars to do it? How does she have any room to imply that someone doesn't deserve their pay when all she does is sit behind a desk and follow her script with a few ad libs here and there?

I felt that she implied he should stay in his lane. Political commentary is her job. Basketbal is his. No one wants to see her play basketball. No one wants to see him make political commentary.

When someone criticizes one person over something then praises another despite them being guilty of that same thing then it is hypocritical.

You can't criticize someone for not knowing the struggle of the common person then vote someone into office when they also know nothing about the struggle of the common person. That doesn't make any sense.

I'd like to see her play basketball against pros, I'm sure she'd have a new perspective on that thing she calls "dribbling a ball".

It would look just as bad as Lebron in that video.

This is exactly what a SJW would say about something they don't agree with.

It's his opinion, and a Constitutional right to express that opinion.

There's a thread about how reporting someone for making threats like "I want to be a professional school shooter," is akin to the thought police, yet when it comes to comments from sports stars people tell them to:

Do it own their own time, so that's what they do.

Then we get this thread.

Are you involved in political commentary?

How many of us on ATS are involved in politics? Should we, too, "stay in our own lane?"

And I don't mean political commentary as in ATS - I mean it as a profession, something that one survives off of.

You're probably right. Lebron didn't give any evidence or proof for his opinion but you don't have to have evidence or proof to have an opinion.

What was the rest of the interview about? Was it only about Trump and politics? Or was that just one question among many others? How can you blame Lebron for a question that was asked to him in an interview he agreed to be a part of?

Do i get a camera along with a loaned audience of millions when i issue my opinion? Its not really the same, is it?

Although i do agree...he has a right to his opinion and to air it. Id never want otherwise. I just think his opinion is dumb. In a league full of college degrees this guy is the one everyone wants to hear?

Yeah you still lost me. That was the point of the OP. I focused on the hilarity of it. Not the politics. As I also mentioned, I took her words to mean just that. As to who said it, it's irrelevant. I think you're taking something out of context or not reading what was in the OP correctly. Her words were exactly quoted as you can compare with the video, of what she said.

Thank you for that.

Can't be a stunt for ratings, these tv people don't care about that and why would they? Just as influencing public opinion is the last thing they'd do. They're all entirely sponatneous and don't know what answers they'll most likely get from whom.

It's pretty brash if you think about it they're the ones who wanted to ask him questions, if he does he gets a lip like that.
It's tasteless.

Like watching her grind her butt on Trump. "Dump your unamerican wife great leader make me your pornstar!"

As Sheldon would say "Was the OP sarcastic satire ?"
In that case , apply my posts to others , and not you .

That is the way with the Famous Elites, whether sports, Hollywood music etc.. many feel that because they have talent in an area that people enjoy watching it some how means they are a vessel of sage knowledge too. They are surrounded 24/7 by people telling them they are they best, their fans go crazy for them..and that is the life they lead and then expect people to act the same when it comes to their self proclaimed wisdom. Can you imagine just how butt hurt Hollywood became when Trump won? Hollywood A listers never denied anything giving their best performances and they lost...lol

So because Lebron is a millionaire athlete that means he shouldn't be allowed to express his opinion?

People praise Trump because he speaks his mind with no filters, but as soon as someone else does the same they cry about it because they don't like their opinion. That's pretty ironic if you ask me.

More like just because LeBron is a millionaire athlete that doesn't mean we have to treat his political opinions as seriously as we treat his basketball skills.

When Charles Krauthammer makes an opinion on basketball, how many people shove a microphone in his face and think he knows more than LeBron James about it?

Let's see... was it a basketball reference to a black guy who practices law or was it a basketball reference to a black guy who professionally plays basketball?

If it could be said to anybody of any other ethnicity and it means the same thing, with zero hidden subtext or code, that's not racist. She could have said the same thing to Larry Bird.

Laura Ingraham's net worth is estimated at being around $45 million. What does she know about the people from her luxury apartment? What has she done to deserve her millions? Talk on TV? Lol, like she has any room to talk about people not earning their paychecks or speaking their minds on important issues.

She is a lawyer, was a speechwriter for Reagan and writes books and I think has some publications. Life Zed? Radio show/pod casts.

I think she said she wrote a book a while ago called "shut up and...?" and has been using that "shut up and ..." in various situations.

She's fairly accomplished and knows her politics.
