So, let me get this straight..

the Russians hacked the voter databases.. then bombarded them with RT propaganda and other miscellaneous Facebook & Twitter 'bots' that pushed a Russian narrative...

and that narrative was what exactly..

Vote Trump?

I don't remember any of that and I watched Facebook and rt and twitter closely.

What I did notice was RT and various Russian Twitter Accounts presenting news about the leaks of Clinton and Podesta information.. which ultimately exposed extreme corruption in various Government agencies, one of which was Pay to Play, under Clinton.

We're 13 months after the fact and the Democrats are still pushing this fabricated crap

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

The matter is fairly straight forward. Yes, the Russians will have used Cyber attacks against the U.S. . Hillary Clinton and her fake news media surrogates can't accept the 2016 presidential election loss, so they have revived McCathyism . During the Cold War, the threat posed by Soviet propaganda, subversion and espionage was real, but this didn't justify McCathyism. The same applies in the present.

Trump won. Deal with it. That is a separate issue. What is the Trump administration doing to restore faith in our institutions and combat further Russian (and other) cyber threats? Trump's fear that he owes his win to Russia is handicapping his response.

No one on this thread at this point buys your twisted narrative. Russia tried to undercut the likely Clinton administration by leaking hacked information that would cripple it. Lucky for them, Trump won, and his incompetence is keeping the United States from taking action against Russian moves in Ukraine, the Levant, and, most importantly, the Baltic. To continue this paralysis, they will probably be working against the Republicans in anticipation of the mid-terms, and already we see resignations and accusations against sitting Republicans.

Have any of the Podesta or DNC emails been proven to be false?

You are mad that their dirty laundry got put out for all to see.

Perhaps you really should be mad at Podesta and the DNC getting their clothes muddy in the first place. The real problem is the Democrats were jerks and got shown to the world for who they are.

The only person to blame for Hillary Clinton's loss is Hillary Clinton.

Too many on here are seeing this as a fight between right/left republican/democrat and that Russia for some reason picked a side. They believe that our biggest concern is Trump and the last election.

I believe we are seeing the dawning of a new era of warfare. I believe that Trump and his supporter are, pawns, test subjects for what is developing.

If you believe I am wrong, don't worry about it. If you think there may be some truth, well I don't know what else to do but pay attention for now. Many think the US is protected because we have a great military. Hell, let's have a parade and show it off.

I hope the people we count on to protect us are paying attention and developing strategies to protect us.

Trump like Reagan before him, isn't a policy guy, only to a even a larger degree. Now that Mattis and McMaster have Trump's ear, they are able to influence his key policy decisions. This can be seen in the Trump's decisions around continuing the war in Afghanistan and sending arms to the Ukraine. In both those previous instances Trump was talked out of his following his natural inclinations by Mattis, McMaster and likely Tillerson. So it is possible that Mattis, McMaster and Tillerson may be working on a International cyber policy and convincing Trump to support what they have in mind.

It doesn't matter what "Trump's Generals" are doing behind the scenes. Russia's assault is psychological. We need our leadership to restore America's faith in its institutions, not tear them down. Trump has single handedly done more to undermine our intelligence community and Justice Department than the past two decades of genuine public failures.

America's greatest strength has always been the checks and balances in the Constitution, coupled with our ability to make informed decisions as voters, thanks to the freedom given to the press. Both are now in danger. Do you really think it is a good idea to treat schoolchildren like dangerous prisoners?

Of course not. They were hacked by Russian intelligence, who informed Donald Jr., who told Trump Sr., who announced it at a rally.

You are mad that their dirty laundry got put out for all to see.

I am not a Democrat, so I couldn't care less. I am mad at the RNC who did not shoot Trump down while they had a chance. Someone must have known about the pay offs to the porn star(s).

If you were American, you would already have known just how dirty the Democratic Party has been. Google "Mayor Daley JFK."

Agreed, but that has never been the issue. Russian disinformation is using Clinton's loss as a smokescreen. Their goal is to paralyze the United States government by exacerbating partisanship. We need to look forward to the next election. Their logical move is to help Democrats win the majority in Congress by using propaganda to harm Republican candidates. When they get control, the Democrats will then derail public business with lengthy, inflammatory impeachment hearings. If Trump truly loved this country, he would encourage investigation of Russian cyberwarfare... and resign before it is too late.

It is equally important to counter psychological based propaganda or warfare.

We need our leadership to restore America's faith in its institutions, not tear them down.

People's lack of trust in government institutions and elements of the private sector played a role in Trump checking into the White House.

Trump has single handedly done more to undermine our intelligence community and Justice Department than the past two decades of genuine public failures.

The corruption at the top levels of the FBI and Justice Department is a self inflicted wound. Until those who are responsible for the aforementioned institutions, public confidence, won't be restored in government institutions across the board.

Didn't they do all that when obama was in office?

I'm sure the russians invaded the Ukraine before Trump won.

I bet the world loved how hillary dealt with Libya.

Do what? Invade Ukraine? Obama's lack of a strong response has been fatal.

Thank you for finally admitting it was an invasion.

It could have been worse. We should have done less, but our relationship with certain NATO powers was on the line.

You basically said what I said, then flipped it to reinforce the false narrative that the FBI is to blame. Tell your supervisor that I said that he should treat you to a bottle of стандарт.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

The problem of Americans lacking confidence in their institutions goes well beyond the FBI and the Justice Department. I didn't fully address the issue to avoid going off topic. Clearly some context is required. Restoring public trust in the FBI doesn't necessary mean that the American public will once again have more trust in a government agency like FEMA . The same goes for the private sector.

We have a long road ahead to restore America's faith in its institutions and private sector. It angers me that outside forces have long exploited this mistrust, and that there is now a cabal that is joining forces with them for personal gain. The President needs to make America great again, not himself and Russia.
