This follow Trump's recent tweets that Britian's Universal healthcare system was going broke.

Donald Trump's habit of testing the US relationship with Britain took a new turn Monday when he attacked the UK's National Health Service, claiming it is "going broke and not working."

The US President hit out on Twitter minutes after a segment aired on Fox News that highlighted winter strains on the UK health care system. Trump accused Democrats of pushing a similar universal healthcare system for the US.

edition.cnn.com...

Those hitting back include Prime Minister Theresa May. Take into mind this isn't first time she's hit out against the Trump Administration. Theresa May, as many may be unaware, is a conservative.

Theresa May rebukes Donald Trump over NHS comments

I just find it amusing. Who is Trump to talk about the healthcare systems of other countries? He's president of a country where it costs $32,093 just to give birth. A country that spends more on healthcare than any other country. The United States has the highest cost in healthcare in the developed world and among the highest in the world overall. This for a country that does not have a Universal Healthcare system in place. Who's he to talk?

If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.

As the saying goes " It is better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all "

Not that The NHS is failing. Any large body can face testing times.

I've been on the frontline of NHS care for 3 years. Yes, the system is struggling but there are reasons for this over and above funding. Have had a large number of chats with Staff and they are just as frustrated.

Because of trump? How much did it cost to give birth under obama? Did trump make some new laws that made your hailthcare, more expensive?

Serious question

I work for private care but as soon as I qualify as a mental health nurse I'm going NHS.
We really are short of nurses they need to bring back the bursery.
Heck with that I could have studied full time. My company isn't bad and are supporting me though.

NHS is having problems. Big time. Just because you don't like Trump doesn't mean it isn't true.

Doctors and patients accuse government of failing to stop NHS crisis

At least 21 trusts are on black alert, meaning they cannot guarantee patient safety or provide full range of services

Pressure on the health service in England continues to mount with at least 21 trusts – many responsible for multiple hospitals – on black alert, known as opel 4, on Wednesday. Hospitals are forced to announce this when they can no longer guarantee patient safety and provide their full range of services.

The problems go deeper. Why are we short of Nurses? PM me if you want my and indeed current Nurse's opinions. I'll not post them here for obvious reasons.

The UK system may not be perfect but it's a hell of a lot better than most other health systems.

I will just leave this link here. How not to die in America

Guys really?,

I guess London is totally different to the rest of the country?, I cannot get an appointment to see my GP within a two week period, my local NHS trust is awful and I was shocked to my core with the bullying that the mid wife sustained when my son was born for doing nothing more than attempting to assist (This went a lot deeper than just a observation)..

My local Hospital is under staffed and the Doctors simply do not fill me with any confidence, my wife was working in the UK as a invited medic from the Philippines in a key worker position, she came here a few years before meeting me and all of her friends have since been pushed out of the UK, many where experienced Nurse's or mid wifes, most are now living a far better life in Australia and Canada. Oh had my wife not of married me her visa was not going to be renewed, how does that work out?, gleaming reference with good work history yet the home office in their wisdom decided that it was better to have zero skilled migrants that will do f#ck all than keep trained staff???...

From my observation the NHS is being sabotaged, it is being lined up for private firms to come in to provide a service, honestly whatever happens do not fall ill in central London, I spent 50 minutes with a lady who had fallen down a flight of stairs and was totally out of it. We waiting nearly a hour for a paramedic.

In a past life I also supplied equipment to the Paramedic response riders, honestly the morale was terrible even back then so god knows what it is like now???....

What has happened to the NHS is a disgrace, also allowing the NHS to be used by the entire third world is not something I am happy with, pay into the system to use the system when needed, not take take take as soon as you get off the boat....

The NHS is broke and is starting to fail miserably.. A big reason is with unprecedented immigration to the UK and budget cuts its only a matter of time begore it collapses..

Something needs to be done now!!

Oh and as for trump, do we really expect anything less, this guy has a tendency to insult everyone and anyone via twitter.. All he actually does though is make the mighty USA a mockery around the globe..
I feel for my American cousins having this lunatic in charge.

I agree with everything you say.. Especially the last paragraph..

People are coming of the boat and straight to the hospital for free care and it is draining the f ing system.. I was recently in hospital and had to wait 7 hours.. In that time I only saw 3 British people.. All the rest of the people there were foreign born..

Same problem with the schools.. This country is a f ing joke nowadays..

I was in hospital last week up north and ï got great care tbh. Didn't have to wait and I also noticed many signs saying if you are foreign you may have to pay for your treatment.
No where near perfect is the NHS but we can't let the buggers sink her.

You got it in one.

The irony is that the protestors Trump refers to are protesting against it becoming more like the American system.

Unfortunately, the swivel eyed ideologues who want a hard Brexit are sharpening their knives, ready to carve up what we have left.

That's some super power. The ability to tell where someone was born just by looking at them...
