Feds Arrest Democrat Texas State Judge Near Border

MCALLEN, Texas — Federal authorities arrested a Democrat Texas state judge after a series of raids on his courtroom and his home. Information on the charges and other details of the investigation remain sealed. The judge is expected to be presented in federal court on Monday.

Sounds about right. Hopefully we will get more details Monday when he goes before a U.S. Magistrate Judge at the federal courthouse in McAllen.

I don't believe it, from all I have seen democrats in government or courts can't be arrested for anything. The laws are not suppose to apply to them.

This has to be a mistake.

Pretty obvious,

Delgado is currently running for a place on the 13th Court of Appeals, and multiple sources close to the investigation said the judge was detained at the Falfurrias checkpoint while on his way to a campaign event outside the Rio Grande Valley.

The msm isn't going to run this because it's a local news story. But, because it has the right elements: Hispanic, democrat, and judge; certain outlets with a specific audience will run with it.

They'll get page views, you'll get confirmation bias, and no one will remember this in two weeks.

Looks like the FBI is in the mix.

Dozens of FBI agents descended on the offices of Delgado’s 93rd State District Court and his home in Edinburg about 4 p.m. Friday. Assisted by Texas Rangers and Hidalgo County Sheriff’s deputies, the agents could be seen removing plastic bins from his home near the intersection of Schunior Street and Depot Road.

It’s unclear if agents removed anything from his office at the HidalgoCounty courthouse. Courthouse officials blocked access to the facility’s second floor, where Delgado’s court office is located. FBI spokeswoman Michelle Lee confirmed agents were conducting law enforcement activity at the courthouse and said one person had been arrested.
