The scenario I find most likely is that Trump finally got his inner circle of advisors working correctly. As Hazardous1408 pointed out, there were a lot of hirings and firings and resignations in the first several months of his administration. Maybe that was just trying to get good honest people into place, and it took a while to weed out the dishonest ones... and to get the swamp critters moved around so they didn't have access to anything worthwhile to leak.

Did most of the leaks stop around the time that Bannon left? The other side is the bureaucratic aspects that there were a lot of leftover after Obama that seemed to be very pro Hillary.

There have been many leaks since Nov 8th 2016.

I'm not sure exactly when the leaks stopped, but we know Comey leaked... he admitted it in an open hearing. Bannon leaking wouldn't surprise me in the least. I don't personally believe Spicer leaked; I think he was just ineffective. The rest, I honestly don't know.

Maybe someone with a better memory and more interest in the parade of personalities could help us out with your question?
