Would it surprise you to learn that Simpson adamantly opposed the election of Donald Trump.

Simpson finally admitted his negative opinions of the President might have tainted his work on the discredited dossier.

Might have? The dossier was about as real as Pamela Anderson’s boobs.

But what of Simpson’s background as a journalist? Yet, he acknowledges his inability to remain neutral.

In August 22 testimony released last week and reviewed in full by Breitbart News, Simpson made the following admission:

I think it’s safe to say that, you know, at some point probably early in 2016 I had reached a conclusion about Donald Trump as a businessman and his character and I was opposed to Donald Trump. I’m not going to pretend that that wouldn’t have entered into my thinking.

You know, again, I was a journalist my whole life. So we were, you know, trained not to take sides and practiced in not taking sides. So most of what I do as a research person is we try to avoid getting into situations where one’s etiology or political views would cloud your work because it’s a known hazard, but, you know, I reached an opinion about Donald Trump and his suitability to be president of the United States and I was concerned about whether he was the best person for the job.

Methinks you did not read actual reports of the testimony, or the actual testimony itself, because if this is what you got out of it, you must be near ready to toss your cookies from all that "spin."

For example, the conservative Free Beacon hired Fusion first for seven months. The DNC, through lawyers, hired Fusion for only about 1 month, during which time Fusion contracted Steele, who worked his contacts (and no he did not pay them) to create a series of raw intelligence memos that he did a "first culling" of to remove any bad sourcing and such. Then Fusion vetted the memos and did some general corroboration of the contents, though some things could not be specifically verified.

The testimony showed Trumps long term connections to mafia types, both of the Italian and Russian variety. Felix Sater had been on their radar as well as many other organized crime figures long before the DNC ever came into the picture.

And so very much more. I've barely scratched the surface here. Read the testimony if you want a source for my statements.

Nunes is a Trump lackey and has been working to obstruct the Russia probe since day one. He was on Trump's team and should ethically have recused himself entirely, especially after he got caught making up crap the first time. I'm guessing he's trying to cover his own backside too.

If the FBI did do something wrong then let that come up too, but it won't exonerate Trump and his Administration.

Help us to understand why this means that nothing in this dossier is real?

Russia meddled in the election.

Russia wanted to impact U.S. elections.

Russia and Trump had many business deals together, making Trump highly susceptible

I could go on and on about the things the dossier had right.

Nonetheless, it is all irrelevant. The investigation doesn't need the dossier in any way, the evidence now coming out about Cambridge Analytica, Flynn's role with Cambridge and contacts with the Russians, Jared's rush to use Cambridge, Bannon being a VP of Cambridge, and Russian use of FB and micro-targeting point squarely to overlap between Russians and the Trump campaign - also predicted by the dossier, but again, the dossier is 100% irrelevant to the investigation.

Evidence is now coming out that Russians funneled money to the Trump campaign through the NRA (and that also means it could easily have gone to other Republicans, too: www.mcclatchydc.com...

A great deal of evidence as to money laundering with the Russian mob is coming out.

You can get me to seriously reconsider the conclusion that Trump is compromised by the Russians by pointing out one single position Trump's taken, one stand as president against the Russians, one thing that wasn't kissass flowery about Putin and the Russians.

There are a half dozen Trump campaign people tied directly to Russia, Manafort has been involved with Russia for 10 years, isn't strange that he came to head the campaign??? Isn't it weird that Flynn was so heavily involved with the Russians?? Isn't it strange that the Alt-Right hero said that collusion and money laundering happened??

But, do please keep pounding the laughter, falling for the con put up to you to get your attention away from our Russian agent president, focused on entirely irrelevant stuff. We ALL know that anyone with evidence against Trump or speaking against Trump is a liar, bad guy, corrupt, all of them, none of them are telling the truth, none. This will hold true even as concrete evidence comes out that Russia is in control of much of our government. I don't think it bothers you, so long as democrats aren't in control of much, you're fine with it being an adversarial power run by a ruthless fascist.

All news that impacts Trump negatively is fake. All of it. No truth to any of it. Trump is pure, he is good, he is honest, he is all heart, he is smart, anything saying differently is FAKE(!), blah blah blah blah.

In situations where all news against a leader is "FAKE" - throughout history - has been the foundation of fascism, and it could happen here if somehow the "FAKE" crowd consisted of a significant majority.
