If I want to come out of Vegas, and pay for the economy plus fair, I can get a round trip for less than $800. For a trip from Vegas, that's a great fare. A lot of the big carriers, you pay that from New York.

If I booked to fly out to Vegas in March it would cost less than 400 euros.... Over to you now Virgin BA etc

On Norwegian, from Las Vegas to London, round trip, with a non-stop flight on a 787 I'd pay $655.50 per person in the Low Fare+ seats.

On United, I'd pay $749.21 for the same route, on the same days. I'd have to catch a 737-800 to Newark, where I'd catch a 757-200 to London. On the way back, I'd fly a 757-200 to Chicago and an A320 to Las Vegas.

On Delta, I'd pay the same as United, but catch a 717-200 from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, where i'd catch a Virgin Atlantic 787-9 to London. On the way back, I'd catch a 767-300 to Detroit, and a 757-200 to Las Vegas.

On American, I'd pay $747.71, for a flight that goes from Las Vegas to Charlotte, NC on a 737-800, then from Charlotte to London on an A330-300. On the way back, I'd catch an American 787-8 to Chicago, and then a 737-800 to Las Vegas.

All three of those were for regular economy class flights, not the upgraded economy, which would have added anywhere from $200-almost $350 a segment.

I'm seriously thinking about seeing my friends this year now in America can get to Chicago for £280 return that's absolutely unreal. Who can you recommend airline wise for budget from Chicago to Minnesota?

this uh Norwegian air...do they by any chance do flights from los angeles to Australia at similar rates. seen Fiji air charge 800. Qantas 1050- 1500. Air New Zealand sometimes 950. 600 on Norwegian would be fricken awesome.

Can't see Australia as a destination at all yet but give it time of they can do the equivalent sort of prices then they'll be hugely popular

If you want cheap, no frills, pay extra for oxygen, Spirit. Otherwise Southwest. I can not stress this enough, under no circumstances fly Allegiant.

Other than FAA corruption, I don't understand how they're still operating. They were a diversion a day airline at one point.

Multi stop flights are crazy cheap now,or at least they were a couple of years ago and of course travel only on partner airlines.
I flew Gatwick to Vegas on Virgin,Vegas to Salt Lake City on Delta and Vegas to Bozeman on Delta for Yellowstone. Then coming back Seattle to Vegas on Delta and Vegas back to Gatwick on Virgin for just under £800!

This year coming back from Italy on Easy Jet the basic fair from Venice to Gatwick was just £29.You couldn't even do it on foot that cheap,it costs £40 one way as a foot passenger on the cross channel ferry.

Everything I've ever heard about them has raved about how good their service is.

We priced out a trip with them and their version of First Class is quite affordable compared to the majors. Its not as posh though.

This is very true. But they didn't technically break the speed of sound.

As of a couple of years ago,Gatwick only got direct flights to Orlando,Tampa and Las Vegas. If you wanted to fly to anywhere else direct, you had to fly from Heathrow.
Virgin are good,as far as I know they're the only airline who have economy seats on the upper deck.First on and off, quieter and less queues for the toilets compared to downstairs.

For the prices they're quoting I'd sit on the wing mate

5 hours and 13 minutes is, by my arithmetic, slower than the 5 hours 8 minutes it took a 707 to cross the Atlantic. And that's slower than the 5 hours 1 minute time it took for a VC-10 in 1979.

So not quite sure what this record, er, records?

The VC-10 flight was never recorded, so was never official. If the FAI doesn't have a record of it, as far as the record books are concerned it never happened. I suspect any faster 707 flight never was either. The average 707 flight was closer to 5 1/2-6 hours, depending on winds.
