2012 Forum Change

I know it's probably been hashed before but I would like to suggest the 2012 forum be renamed to something like "The Apocalypse " or even "The End of The World ". I know It's a small issue but 2012 is like sooo 6 years ago Even 2112 would work, assuming Geddy Lee doesn't mind lol

I have suggested before that it should be renamed "Dated prophecy", and used for similar issues of something being anticipated on a specified future day.
The name would have a double meaning.
Before the event, the prophecy is "dated" in the sense of having a date attached to it.
After the event, the prophecy is "dated" in the sense of being out-of-date, obsolete.
You can see how that works in the case of "2012" discussions.

Dated Prophecy is a great name too. Doom Pr0n would fit but at least 50 percent of ATS would have to be moved there....too much work.

Dated or Debunked prophecy would work though. There's still plenty of doomageddon stuff involving NK floating around.

We should leave it as it is, so we can direct would be new age prophets to it as a warning.

You're right. Good prophecy needs ambiguity. But back on point, it seriously needs a new name.

2012 was an eyeopener, it convinced the wife and I to start to make a food pantry. Now we have a decent food pantry in rotation. We could go a month making foods we normally eat without having to go to the store. Except, we are looking for a good quality powdered milk to purchase. The big thing is we have been now saving money on food like you could not imagine, good quality ingredients. Very little waste, and of course, we only have things to make what we usually eat. No getting sick if something happens because of a lack of proper enzymes to digest the foods.

Changing 2012 to "eyeopener" would be an appropriate name.
