I guess I should just play it safe and never make eye contact with anyone ever, and if I have something nice to say I should keep it to myself. Perhaps I shouldn't say anything but "thank you" and "your welcome"..

Heck maybe I shouldn't even hold the door open for people behind me going into a store. I don't want to micro offend them I mean we all know that's just me guilting them into having to say "thanks" pushing them into a submissive role with my rude posturing for a dominant role in our fleeting interaction....

Just to make it clear that was tongue in cheek..
