This may be in the wrong forum, but I didn't think it was a medical issue or conspiracy.

Stanislav Gorb, a professor of zoology from the Zoological Institute at the University of Kiel in Germany, is the senior author of the study that looked into the mechanical properties of the penis. "The penis has to go from the left to the right, and then at some point, right to the left, and change the direction several times," says Gorb. "A female makes life for this male penis pretty difficult. And that's why the nature found a solution for that in the form of mechanical gradient of properties."

The potential for future bio-mechanical adaptations is incredible. I don't know how comfortable I'd be with it, but this knowledge could potentially be used to "scrub" arterial walls, clear blockages in the heart, maybe even assist in repairing problems with lung alveoli. What say you ATS?

I didnt even read your post.

WHY OP WHY?

well I'll read it now, but such a title surely requires a more sane approach to things, such as "If you ever cared about baby new Zimbabwe elephants facing extinction. please help!"

:/

Im going back to zapping reptiles with my sun glass, till they finally reveal their damned secrets !!

I wonder why the female of that species evolved such a complicated spiral reproductive duct?

Poor beetle. They removed its penis for testing....Poor bastard never got to try it out himself.

Technology will be a living thing one day. Very cool.

I cant wait for something biomechanical to be made that I can use. I could use a new shoulder, make one out of beetle penis protein!

Also, more penis jokes please!!

It really is an interesting time to be alive.

I agree, having a penis is stiff business, and with that double entendre i'll exit stage left.
