I love goats! I want some so bad, but hubby keeps saying no! Some friends of ours have a billy and a fainting. The billy messes with the hubby every time we go over there. Rear's up on his back legs and head butts him. It's great. But then hubby goes and scares the fainting.

I always worry that the poor thing will faint one to many times, and actually die.

Goats having a pajama party is pretty good stuff, too.

I thought you were making that up.

You weren't.

Are they good? Anything to compare them to?

I understand that outside of the US, they are widely eaten.

Oh man !! Is it good eating, but you have to put in time tho, meat can be tough, slow cooked in a crock pot or pressurized, if you are pressed for time, oh BTW wash with lemon juice as it smells gamey as hell especially the males.
Oh Lamb would be the closest.

In a perfect world, I would keep a female in milk for a year off and on. Harvesting the ones that are extra. Not sure the family will go for it however there is a market here so was curious.

I have seen sheep and horses killed and burchered but both had a quick death.

I have a pretty nice back yard. Over grown up to my knees. Since my. Roommates dont seem to care for it. Would like to get two goats to help me with it and i just like animals alot. Just dont know how hard it would be to take care of them.

Turned my back on a wheelbarrow for half a minute and when I looked back there were three goat kids in it, so I pushed them slowly along and they loved it.
