I was doing my usual weather search befor I went to bed. I check several sites and get a good idea of what to expect for week end flying. One of these sites
www.nrlmry.navy.mil... r_background&SUB_PRODUCT=goes&SSC=x-x-x&&buttonPressed=Animate&ANIM_TYPE=Instant
provides me a CONUS NexSat view.
That when I get to frame 45.

What are these concentric circles?

They look like superimposed images from lower resolution, but long range, approximately polar, radar.

Only if you can explain where the "circles" are? I see nuthin' circular except for latitude lines. Explain yourself, man (or whatever).

I heard earlier on my local news that after windchill,it should be around -40 Celsius.
Could that have something to do with it...I mean it is pretty cold everywhere and there was some snow in Florida??

Looks like just cold, harsh weather to me?

I don't see it.

the image = a composite - formed from multiple radar images - the circles are just image artefacts [ nothing to worry about - but certain conspiracy " theorists " go batcrap crazy over them ]

They are how flat earthers represent a global earth.

They bend it, so it almost fits. It doesn't quite fit, the 3d representations you see on 2d maps is always skewed. That's why with more modern and closer to the truth - yet still skewed - maps, people go "omgosh mondolla!!!"

That's very interesting, but why does it appear on one image out of the 50 that displayed in the video?
Do you have a link where I can go and learn more about this "artefacts (sic).

I am a mailman out in this stuff, and to be honest I get used to it after about 30 minutes outside. I guess if I didn't I wouldn;t have this job though.

the " rings " are caused by the radar being reflected of preciptation - its a bit like the effect that cetain cars look a different shade depending on what angle you look at them from

the ring is caused cecause the radar gets a much stronger - or significantly weaker return sat a certain angle - which obbiously occirs at an altitude and range that APPEARS to form a ring around the radar site

the centre of each ring --is the radar station

OK.
But there are no radar sites in the upper Red Lake Reservation.
www.accuweather.com...
When you go to the original web site, enlarge the area, you can see that the center of the first circle is in the Upper Red Lake Reservation. Using the second link (above), you will see that there are NO radar sites in that area.
