oh quit complaining there was something like 2000 customers without power early this morning in lynchburg...

hopefully they all got their power back by now. it's too danged cold not to have power unless you have a fireplace...

All fair points but doesnt change the fact that from a meteorological standpoint this is what this type of scenario has been called for decades.

A Nor'Easter doest mean a storm went through bombogenesis as their is a specific pressure change that takes place to get that name. I also dont think anyone was hyping anything since the storm met scientific criteria to be called a bomb cyclone.

Where i think weather forecasts go overboard is the standard storm that gets hyped.. not the case with this though.

This is a live site so all the data will be overwritten after the storm, air pressure is plotted on lime green curve.

How is he correct, yet others are not? We've set record lows here in Northern KY recently, and we haven't been above freezing since Christmas Eve when our average highs are right at 39-degrees.

So can he cite record highs in Australia and be legit, yet someone else have record lows and be said to be confusing weather and climate?
