Trump lawyers try to halt book's release as White House fights to contain firestorm

The question here that has been floating around, is what other President has ever made this big of a stink about anything that has been published about them or even reference to them?

If you think about it, in the past Saturday night live, makes fun of political figures, most either laughed or did not say anything, except for Trump. Anything that was printed, most presidents tend to not make anything of it.

But this President, this man, is trying to use his position to stop anything he does not like and attacks one of the very freedoms that we have, and enjoy.

In the span of a week, the book about dysfunction on the campaign trail and in the White House has become a huge bestseller.
At Amazon the top three sellers are respectively Fire and Fury’s hardcover edition, its Kindle edition and at No. 3, the Audible audio edition.

I guess Trump's tactics aren't working too well

Trump believes in eye for an eye.

You attack him, he attacks you right back.

You say something silly about him, he says something silly about you right back.

He is old testament.

I've never seen Trump "forgive" anybody for any slight against him.

There's nothing "too small" to respond to in Trump's world view.

That makes him look very unpresidential. Since Presidents are supposed to be above the "petty."

That is, until something is at a level that is "important" or "significant", the President isn't supposed to give it any attention, because supposedly, the President is busy with other "important" things.

If the overall narrative of this book pushes "mental instability" or makes a single reference to the 25th Amendment then it will be crystal clear what the intent of the book is.

Yet one more in a long line of desperate attempts by the left to unseat a duly elected president by its citizens.

The Trump Dossier is total BS. "Parts of it are true" ? ...yeah ok I will give you that his name is Donald Trump. Ok...so parts of it ARE true. lol...

The book itself is not the single item to get him removed but will attempt to add to the plethora of made up BS the liberal PR machine aka the MSM has been pushing. It's an attempt to influence the general public.

Nah, the author is overjoyed at the public response to his book, helped, of course, by Trump's public denials which only increases the public interest. The publisher probably pushed the book out faster to capture the initial jump in interest caused by all the commotion, and immediately contracted Wolff to write a second book. Meanwhile Wolff is feverishly working on Book 2, culled from his notes on things that didn't make it into Book 1, since now anything he writes will sell well, no need to cherry pick the best tidbits anymore, the public is obviously hungry for gossip on Trump.

So first of all, he actually has to run and win.. it's a 4 year term. And second, I have a feeling he won't run again. Once he has accomplished his goal - undoing as much of the Obama administration as he can, he'll be done. Turns out he found, you have to do a lot when President! Cuts into his golf and leisure time badly.

I have a feeling probably about half the book is true - I've no doubt that Trump is a childish, vindictive tyrant within the White House proper. Working for him is probably a nightmare - and the crap Trump pulls via Twitter I'm sure, drives his administration nuts. They constantly have to smooth over his gibberish on a weekly basis.
