I'm just trying out something here and maybe you can humor me by trying to see if it works..

Working with transparency in avatars and trying to align them with the fixed stuff in your avatar like username, stats and everything can be very tricky but if this lines up it should look pretty cool.



I am drawing a blank at the moment as to what I should do with the bottom part but it's getting pretty late here so I'm going to catch some sleep.

I'll make a fresh start in the morning, maybe you can add some suggestions.

No problem, we are only at the stage of picking a background and I went from filling out the avatar with 1 board to filling it out with as much as possible. If you'd like an in-between size we can also try that.

I only placed the doggy for reference. Only after you are happy with the final layout we'll start with smoothing that thing out.

Know how it is to hear yourself sing on recording...kind of the same with waking up and looking at a 3AM design...

I have know idea where I was going with this and what the reason was for some design elements.

Thank God, 3AM Mindcrime saved all the templates so I'll be making changes.

This is how it looks:



The one thing about ATS is the way its designed, there will always be a couple of pixels of shifting. "Responsive design" is what SO called it. Making it where the username and title stuff matches up is just about impossible.

Short break...some RL stuff got in the way.

Anyway, there was no need to cut your username and stats out of the avi because they are placed above it.

Cleaned it up a little and I think this should work better.



Let me know if you need anything added in the bottom.

I think the first larger one is best. Thank you. I like that one.

Now when I say I was busy with RL stuff I kind of meant I was busy with non-digital creativity...

Took the entire weekend to touch up on drawing skills with a study of an eye (took me 4 hours)



And I decided to finally try a wire model deer made from rope and screws..



300 screws and 300 feet of rope so far (still got a lot of highlights to do).

So I kind of let you guys hanging but I hope you are happy with the results of both avatars. If you need anything changed just let me know, I'm nearby struggling with rope...lol

And if anybody needs an avatar just drop your request!!

Lol...no it is blurry.

Had to quickly enlarge the one I already used to make sure we were talking about the same one.

I'll polish it up for you.

No design is not my work, it really is only a hobby I picked up from being on ATS.
