Your musical wishes/predictions to ATS

For 2018,i wish all members of ATS all the best of luck. Thank you to everyone here,even the people i disagree with strongly. I am not gonna be online much in the next 36 hours or so,family time and cooking and partying,just our family. Me and hubby and our son and his bestie and our eldest daughter and her family. Savory rice,prawns,fish with a marvellous sauce. Multi-berry cheesecake for dessert.Wow my grandkids are 7 months old,apparently they are already eating crisps. So we got them a lot.It's a party night.

So here is my 2018 musical wishes/predictions/gestalt/inspiration whatever. Add to the list as you feel in your gut,what in your gut symbolises 2018 for you.

Oh, I thought this thread was asking what music we would like to see, and what musical predictions we would make for the future.

Mine was going to be the formation of a new super-group with the pairing of thrash metal band Slayer, Michael Bolton and Boy George.

It would only be a one show gig though with Boy George being sacrificed into a wood-chipper spraying out over the crowd right after the start of his Karma Chameleon solo, live and on-stage. A song or so later Michael Bolton would then start into When a Man Loves a Woman whereupon he would be wired into the amplifier stack and hoisted high overhead. The louder Slayer played, the brighter Michael would glow, ultimately going super-nova in a spectacular fireball. Later, after an ear-splitting guitar solo, a small neutron device would be triggered and vaporize everything.

Fans would be standing there, gobsmacked, with scorched hair (and brains), Bic lighters held high above their heads in their radioactive hands, saying "WTF was that??? That was AWESOME!! Best show EVAR, Dudes!!"

And so it would go down in the annals of history, the most spectacular concert in the history of human kind on planet Earth.

PS - just kidding, of course...but that's what I would have said.

No major resolutions, except to finally learn isiXhosa fluently.

A phrase weekly on social media, and then put it in a notebook for review.

With dictionaries at our fingertips shouldn't be hard to learn a new language, or at least sharpen your skills in a year!
