Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who was accused by a United Airlines passenger of bumping her from a first-class seat, said in a Twitter screed on Tuesday that she believes the incident is all about race.
She would like to make it about race, not special political favoritism, just like you are doing carrying that racist torch for her here.
But I'm used to that from you.
I will not be baited by your personal attacks here.
Have a great holiday season!
She was a bumped because of political favoritism, not race. Quoted from your own OP...
It turns out that the politician who got the seat was Shelia Jackson lee, and she KNOWS why the woman that lost her seat made a big deal out of it.
Because Lee is black. Yep, you got it
I didn't 'got that', you did.

United Airlines says that the original passenger used her app to cancel her request for the flight because it was delayed. I assume that they have proof of that?

I'd like to see proof the Congresswoman used her personal money to upgrade to first class.

if this were true, then the airline let a person on the plane without a ticket.
Jean-Marie Simon, 63, said she was tossed out of her first-class seat on a Houston-to-Washington, DC, flight Dec. 18 to make way for Jackson Lee.

this makes it sound as though the passenger was in the seat, then asked to leave.

We all know how this played out:
"Do you know who I AM!" , "Get me your supervisor! "
Got I hope there is video of the whole thing.....
Political favoritism. Then the good senator cries racism! to cover it up.
SJL made it about race though! Instead of just apologizing like she started out doing SHE made it about race when she realized she had an opportunity to call someone a racist.

If you have high status on United, which it appears the flight attendant said she did, you often don't have to pay for an upgrade and get what is called a CPU, complimentary premier upgrade.
Now, she could have pressed the issue and had a gate agent try to jump her over other higher status passengers but that creates a paper trail as well.

I believe there's a rule within GSA travel that states position over general public should not be be taken advantage of. I'll have to look it back up. Once upon a time I was too a GS.
