This is just a silly video of my cat freaking out at the snow today.

He's cute, I love him. Merry Christmas!

He does not look like he thinks this is the end of the world, it looks like he wants to get outside, to play in the snow.

Very possibly. Lol.

My silly white dog decided today that it was too cold outside, lifting his paws. He has thick fur everywhere, including under his feet.
My black girl, with lab type fur, none under her paws, wants to be outside....in -20 Celsius. There's birds out there to watch.

I think my big furry fellow has learned to fake being cold, lol.

And spoiled. The three of us slept in a pile last night. Some nights I wish they were the size of cats, but then I remember how protected I feel, sleeping with a combined weight of 170 lbs. 🐾💕

I know how you feel, even with my 30 pounds of teeth and claws and furious sleeping with me.

You are obviously supposed to fix this appalling turn of events.

We moved from FL to MI back in autumn of '14, we lived in a hotel for a few months before we found our house. Man, you should have seen my dude plastered to the window of the hotel room the first time it snowed, tropical kitty was all wide-eyed, alarmed & puffed his fur out like "WTF IS THIS WHITE STUFF, HUMAN?! WTF IS IT?!"

He still watches the first few snowfalls like it's Armageddon out there, but he eventually calms down and lazily watches the flakes fall. Until he gets too cold and crawls under the nearest blanket. He's done watching for today, he's hunkered down under the blanket on the couch for now.

Yes, but this is a conspiracy forum where we are all paranoid and need our doom porn. Therefore, the cat thinks it's the end of the world.

Almost forgot that ATS is a conspiracy forum... xD

I hope the cat can´t read and understand the human language.
Because, if he thinks that the world is ending because of snow, what would he think if he would read a newspaper or listen to the news?

Oh, I LOVE IT!! I live in an apartment with my two...unfortunately on ground floor. They are 100% indoor kitties, Vader (all black) and Sweety (all white). I use to allow them outside at another complex I lived in and worried myself to death over them. So, indoor cats they became! They've never been out in the snow since here in the Southwest state I live in we just don't see much snow. I'm hoping it will snow a bit this year, and watching Colin carrying on at the window I think I might take mine out to see snow for the first time...IF and WHEN Mother nature decides to bestow a blanket of snow on us!

i love the "holster" rig n0raKat recommended! I'd love to train them on one. I tried a halter once...both of them stood there for a second, then promptly fell over like they'd been shot! Oh, the looks I got...if they killed, I'd definitely be dead and buried!

Thanks for sharing Colin and his snow day!

Our cat was meowing to go out side. But the little arsehole didn't know it was -6 below out. As soon as that cold hit her she turned around and laid down on the couch..........little brat.

We have two feet of snow on the ground. Our cats won't even go near the front door.

Our ducks, on the other hand, seem to love this crap... ducks are just weird.

He must have been born in London!! They freak out and traffic grinds to a halt as soon as there are a few flakes.........well that's impression we get up here in Scotland and I'm not Scottish.
