Question: Where did you used to live when you were 18 years old?

Answer: I used to live at 59 Edmonton Avenue.

Password: Iutla59EA --> 1u2la59EA --> 1u2l@59EA

It's easy to remember, it's not a dictionary word, and it contains upper and lower case, numbers and a symbol. It's as good as you'll get for a low tech solution.

A phrase is the way to go, unless not allowed. Brute force password cracking is dependent on how many characters it has to figure out. Let's take two passwords:

A92&3b.0AW#*l!
I cook sous vide it's the only way to go!

The first PW would be a pita to remember, but.. would take 4 billion years for a computer to crack it.
The 2nd is easy to remember.. and would take a computer 16 novemdecillion years to crack.

2nd is far easier to remember, and far more difficult to crack. So use a phrase. For those at jobs who manage IT.. no longer do you need to change passwords every 90 days. Recommended practice is a phrase, and only expires once a year.
