Yes Atari old school video game consoles. Are you into them or are you in a new retro way? It seems like there is a new band or breed of folks really into these retro consoles. And there has been many repro's lately in the stores for the holiday season. Did you buy one? Gift one or play one?

I emulate them and remember them from tears/years ago. So if you are into them shout it out loud here. What was your favorite games?

Also if you are into all the game roms using a emulator, can you stand more than 3 minutes of game play till you quit and change to another game?

In the new COD WW2 you can play a handful of Atari 2600 games in the RandR area.
I had well over 100 Atari games as a kid, I remember laying in bed at night looking through all the cover art books that would come with each game.
So many great memories huddled around the old black and white tv passing the contrôlée back and forth with my mom.
Playing Astroids, Space invaders,, Riddle of the Sphinx...and of course Pitfall...Pitfall was my absolute favourite game.
Actually COD has Pitfall 2 as a playable Atari game as well.

You mentioned you emulate hem.
You don't happen to know how I can get an Atari emulator on my IPad do you?
That would be a nice little treat!

I've never owned a console, but, the first computer I ever owned was an Atari 800 that took ROM cartridges. However, my favorite game was loaded from magnetic tape, PROTECTOR, similar to DEFENDER.

At this point it looks very hard, sorry.

It would be hard to get the right controller adapters, codecs, drivers and such. Apple is not retro friendly. I really don't know how anyone can even use Apple products in this modern world?

I played it for hours as a kid myself, I preferred the original coin op version though.

Those graphics seem better than the 2600 was.
Neat game though.
Can you shoot that damn ufo so he stops body snatching people? Or is it a race against it to rescue as many people as possible?

Yea I played that through emulation station on my raspberry pi before. it's neat, but it's not a Williams defender or stargate neat. Even Star Wars (ESB) on the 2600 was kinda like "Defender"

Keep in mind i have tens of thousands of roms working in retropie on my Raspberry. Still discovering odd games too.

Still have my 2600.
I will whip you good at Robotron.
That's not a brag or a challenge.
It is a fact.

This game is also very easy to emulate on a pc, droid, rasberry and even on many other systems. Cool game and sounds. However never seen "protector 2"? I am sure I have it on a rom pak downloaded somewhere.

It's funny you post that. I'm play SW battlefront 2 right now and was just thinking about that Star Wars Atari game.
I loved it as a kid

I loved the old games, but they are old and dated. Fun for a minute. Back in the days played them for HOURS.

It's decent, but minimal.

I get that, I do really. That's why i asked about if retro gamers and the 3 minute peak, before moving onto another game.

Thanks for the reply.
