You mentioned you emulate hem.
You don't happen to know how I can get an Atari emulator on my IPad do you?
That would be a nice little treat!
Yea I played that through emulation station on my raspberry pi before. it's neat, but it's not a Williams defender or stargate neat. Even Star Wars (ESB) on the 2600 was kinda like "Defender"

I've never owned a console, but, the first computer I ever owned was an Atari 800 that took ROM cartridges. However, my favorite game was loaded from magnetic tape, PROTECTOR, similar to DEFENDER.
How so? When i kill on the real Williams Robotron 2084 arcade version using MAME? I also kill Berzerk and Warlords. You are a one button joystick. HA, Ha, Ha!

Still have my 2600.
I will whip you good at Robotron.
That's not a brag or a challenge.
It is a fact.
Fun times. I play both 2600 version and the arcade version on Mame.

Berserk on the 2600!!
youtu.be...
This game is also very easy to emulate on a pc, droid, rasberry and even on many other systems. Cool game and sounds. However never seen "protector 2"? I am sure I have it on a rom pak downloaded somewhere.

It's decent, but minimal.

It's funny you post that. I'm play SW battlefront 2 right now and was just thinking about that Star Wars Atari game.
I loved it as a kid
I get that, I do really. That's why i asked about if retro gamers and the 3 minute peak, before moving onto another game.

I loved the old games, but they are old and dated. Fun for a minute. Back in the days played them for HOURS.
