What is going on in Saudi Arabia ?

Yes, they can certainly afford to build a nuclear reactor themselves. However, it would be extremely destabilizing in the Middle East to openly sell Saudi Arabia fissionable material to do this.

There is an interesting theory going around 4chan connecting the recent happening in SA with the LV shooting.

The top 5 floors of Mandalay Bay (directly above the floor of the shooting) is managed by a company which is owned by Al‑Waleed bin Talal, who was one of the princes arrested in the crackdown in October. The Saudi air force also had an entire hotel booked just down the street from the shooting.

The theory goes that this was a botched assassination attempt against the Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman (Talal's cousin) who was suppose to be discreetly staying in the Las Vegas hotel with a large security detail. Salman got tipped off at the last minute and didn't show up. Knowing they were going to get caught they killed Paddock who was the one supplying them with weapons, and began shooting on the concert as a cover up then went back to their hotel rooms.

It's just a theory, but it has been 2 months and still no real information about what happened, no security footage released, and the Saudi crackdown began just days afterward. The intelligence agencies are sitting on something.

It's actually a pretty developed theory. There was even a 2 helicopters that were radar tracked....one stopped it looks like on the 4 Seasons roof from the tracking. Plus you have the weird YouTube video of that middle Eastern man being escorted through a casino with tons of bodyguards with assault rifles pointing at people who have their hands up.

And I have seen videos of peopel there burning American and Israeli flags since Bill Clinton (certainly longer, but that is when my first memories as a kid about such matters on tv were recorded). I have seen effigies of Bush and Obama burned. No doubt it happened somewhere with Clinton as well, and certainly with Bush before him.

Burning Israel and American flags is like soccer. Bored? Burn a flag and scream death to Israel, death to USA, and ironically, Death to Saudi Arabia...

That's the thing. Say what you will about Vladimir Putin, but he consistently acts to advance his country's interests. That so many people in the Washington political establishment seem to think this is a bad thing is the best argument you can make for why these people need to be flushed out of power.

I was going to mention this video. It seems a safe bet that this guy was the intended target of the assassins.
And I've been speculating all along that Paddock was some kind of illegal arms dealer who never intended to be involved in any shooting.

Much of this boils down to being about business.

The very country that created terrorism, Saudi Arabia, is rewarded because terrorism is about business, ultimately.

Then there’s the Deep State side of it: 911 and its aftermath.
