Former Oklahoma state Sen. Ralph Shortey has reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors months after investigators uncovered a secret life that they say involved child pornography and a rendezvous with a 17-year-old boy he had met through Craigslist’s personal ads.Shortey, a Republican who resigned last spring amid allegations that he had solicited sex from the teen, will plead guilty to a child sex trafficking charge, his attorney, Ed Blau, said. Prosecutors will drop three child pornography charges as part of the plea deal.

Here we have another slime ball who is getting served a little justice. While this is an old story the video of him being caught red handed having sex with a minor has just been released. This just goes to show you these sick people come from both sides of the isle and the swamp is filled with creatures of both political leanings.

Enjoy watching this creeps world come crashing down thanks to the Police and their quick actions on checking this child's welfare.

It's so nice to see these sorts of things coming to light now that a certain someone isn't making it easy for them to hide.
Over the next few years, I suspect we will see a LOT more of these sorts of people being exposed.... Especially those who work within the government.

The level of depravity in DC is sickening. I have a funny feeling when and IF the names of all the members who used to hush fund to silence their victims comes out....a lot will be cases of pedophila.

This guy is a state senator, not a federal senator, meaning he served in the Oklahoma State legislature. His situation has nothing to do with Washington DC. So if anything, his case proves there is similar depravity everywhere.

Very true with this particular person. However this is indicative to what is currently being exposed in DC don't you agree?

God, I am so f**king sick and tired of the disgusting shenanigans--not to mention the hypocrisy--that goes on with these f**kers.

Thanks for posting, but now I'm going to be flustered on my drive home.

I hope that this guy gets his ass trafficked in prison.*

To all of us Americans who sat and shook our heads in disbelief when this was happening in the UK...goddamit!

* You're damn right that pun is intended.

A really really in depth one. Maybe even multiple treatments just to make sure none was left behind...

DC definitely has its share, but sexual abuse & sexual misconduct are currently being exposed all across the country at equally repulsive rates. Weinstein was Hollywood & NY, Charlie Rose was NYC, Roy Moore is in Alabama, Keillor was in Minnesota, Jeff Hoover is in Kentucky, the Baylor University sex abuse scandal is in Texas, the various Fox News sexual misconduct scandals were in NYC (like Ailes and O'Reilly), etc.

I'm just pointing out that this crap is happening everywhere. It's not a left vs right issue, a state vs federal issue, or a deep state vs "real" America issue. I doubt there's any neighborhood or work environment that's completely safe from it.

Just curious, what was the Senators political party affiliation?

I'm keeping score on sexual political scandals to see which party is the biggest bunch of pervs.

So far the GOP has a substantial lead.

I have a fair sized wager with a business associate.

Gotcha.
Is this for elected officials only or do their supporters count too?

I'd hate to leave out orielly and Weinstein.

Sadly, most politicians haven't the room to fit the enema nozzle as the Lobbyist who employ them already have their arms in there up to the elbow, thats why You can't see the strings like "normal" puppets...

Of course, the discussion on what is construed as "normal" would take up most of the time....

If the 'suspected abuser' earlier claimed being a 'person of Faith' does this count extra?

I totally agree. Most of these people in DC were at one point State Senators and Congressmen. I have family in DC that have connections to the IC... my family member has been telling me for years this kind of stuff is an open secret there, along with drug addicts, pervs, etc. It's all part of their lust for power, and used for controlling one another.
