Well here's what I found. The boyfriend.

Whenever I see these mothers on TV pleading to whomever has their child to bring them home safe, my flags go up, and I had the same feeling in this case. If it's the boyfriend as it's being reported now, then the mother is involved, if at the very least for allowing this person so freely around her children.

You would expect a mother to go on the news and plead for their child's safe return. But why is it that every time we see this, it turns out to be the mother is involved??

I don't normally post in threads like this, because I really don't even know what to say. What kind of sick people? If you don't want the responsibility of being a parent, there are options.

I was thinking this same thing. He has a criminal past. Why would a mother bring someone like this into her child's orbit? I don't want to pass judgement on this mother, but good grief! I would like to know what the offense was that caused the CPS to take the baby away from them last year. If it had anything to do with the boyfriend, then shame on that mother for bringing her baby back around him.

RIP, little Mariah.

Read back. 2 years ago a deputy who worked with/for Hans Miller was arrested on child porn charges - all girls under 12.

Still looking into arrest or not records of Alex, Kristy or the BF.

Edit to Add: The video where I heard the father use the past tense? I posted it. I'll go back to see if it works.

Right now I'm working records of domestic violence concerning the parties involved.

I am quite curious as to who might have made the calls to their address. Also,, very curious as to how a sheriff who worked in crimes against children, and also child pornography cases, could work with someone for seven years, and not notice anything, to the point he could be "shocked" when the guy was arrested. What happened to cop instincts??

Keep us posted on what you find out!

Good research, silo. I'm with you on this one, that the Sheriff's comments and affect aren't right.

Some say that I live in a world of make believe.
I believe there are monsters among us wearing their disguises as regular folks enlisting our trust and we are blinded by their charms.
I worked with a woman (she has since passed) whose Father took her out back when she was an infant and buried her alive. A neighbor, I believe, witnessed what was happening and saved her after the Father was gone. She lived but, with severe brain damage and other issues as you can imagine. He took up space in prison and I believe he passed as well a few years back. That woman lived out her life protected from her family.
I believe there are heroes and angels among us as well.
Just plain and simple evil at work here. Very sad ending to a very sad story for this little girl. I imagine, unfortunately, that more will come to light as the days/investigation progress.

Lots of oddities there, involving the sheriff, for certain. Now, though, she's been found, and the BF is charged, but only with -

Concealing of death; obstruction of justice, second-degree burglary, felony larceny and possession of stolen property
source?? That's a bit odd.

I did say I wanted to see him in video, to determine if he seemed shady or not, and looks like perhaps he did.

I can save you time the police suspect the mother. Notice during their press conference they were asking for people to call in who had any contact with the family no matter how brief.

All considered no, I would guess they were looking at the BF, even then. I never did find a video with him speaking about this missing child, as we had for the mother and father, and the father's GF/wife. I believed, still do, that they all looked sincerely concerned. The BF not appearing bothered me, and I guess we know why now, since he's been arrested.

Videos of the sheriff talking are now removed.

Odd, that.

I noticed that! WEIRD.

One thing I disagree with you on though, that the mother seemed concerned. I posted earlier about how something just seemed off with the mother's pleading. And I don't know why, because OF COURSE a mother would plead for her child's return; yet it keeps ending up that these newscast-appearing pleading mothers are involved somehow. I immediately got red flag feelings about the mother.

Well, her words were those of someone who didn't seem to know what had happened. If she did know, she did all the right things, using the correct tense, etc., in her televised statement. I am no sure if she's that clever or not.

Even so, the children were removed for some reason a year prior, and if that involved the BF, she should no have had him there with her children. Was she keeping him around to pay the bills, since she's apparently not employed? Sick, if that's the case, that money would place them in danger, and result in the death of this poor little girl.

I hope they can determine what actually happened to Mariah, and who was responsible.

Shes involved we get that fromhis warrant.Arrest warrants said Kimrey moved Mariah's body from where she died, knowing her death was not natural. So the police said it wasnt natural meaning an accident. And they know he hid the body however they dont think he was involved in this unatural death. This tells me he did this to protect someone and it also tells me the police do not have enough evidence to verify she did it.

I agree with the accident angle, although I'm hoping it was just a case of "this will really look bad, better cover it up" and not foul play.

Kimrey allegedly sexually abused Woods and her two younger brothers, police said. He also hit “both the [boys] with a belt” that caused a bloody nose to one of them, according to court documents provided to the Jacksonville Daily News by Mariah’s biological father, Alex Woods.

One of the boys told investigators they saw Kimrey allegedly sexually abusing Woods. Mariah’s mother knew about the alleged abuse and Kimrey’s drug use, according to court documents.

Well, accidental doesn't necessarily mean that the mother was involved. She could have been in bed, and something happened after that, as far as we know. We were told that he saw the child awake after the mother was in bed, so maybe something happened, and he hid it fro her as well. Either way, not a good thing. I want to know if he was part of the complaint that had all three children with their father for a month. Maybe the guy caused the accident, and that's why he hid the body. Maybe he's protecting her, or someone else in the house. I just hope the facts can be known. That chilld is still gone, and that's tragic. If this could have been prevented, even more so!

I should have scrolled down before responding to the last post! Seems the worst is the case here. Had hoped otherwise, for the sake of that child. I didn't see a mention of where the other two children are, in the article, or if they have arrested the mother. If she knew, as indicated, she's as guilty as he is.

Sturdy rope and a strong tree limb would take care of both. Quicker than what I'd like to see.
