... I'm pretty sure she's the first thrash metal frontwoman to get elected.

They're called Cab Ride Home, check it out here:

Cab Ride Home - Bandcamp

I'm a bit annoyed that this wasn't the bigger thing about her running for office. Petty GOP campaigners just had to shove the trans thing down everybody's throat while she was running. Marshall wouldn't even gender her correctly and refused to debate her. And now they want to make the gentleman/gentlelady titles on the floor gender-neutral so their petty asses don't have to acknowledge her as a woman. Grow up, Virginia. Jesus.

Anyhoozles, the band is thrash and a bit tongue-in-cheek (think the Black Satans but more party, less death) but I certainly think we need more metal representation in politics.

Do you know anything about her positions? Do you know anything about her opponent?

People who play identity politics the moment a trans woman steps up to a podium are "idiots" and a "joke".

I don't see how that's even weird considering we elected a reality tv sex pest for president. In fact, Trump's victory is what inspired her to run in the first place.

Not an "it", but a HUMAN BEING. Your words disgust me because they are utterly inhumane. It would be my wish that life imposes on you a learning experience to make you realize what I have just tried to tell you.

i see, so your saying there is a correlation, if we can have a tv reality show owner/host as president then therefore we can have trannys but only then, or in the quoted words theres just no barriers anymore, none at all.

i think you correlating the two is weird.

still though, you can't change your gender, period. no matter how many surgical procedures you've undergone, underneath all the make up, it is what it is.

but if Trump can run a country, this person who thinks nature made a mistake somehow and put the wrong brain in the wrong body, whilst nature gets other complex process else right since the beginning of time, can surely represent a state..

Great. She was elected.

Can she do the job? However she want's to identify herself is meaningless in regards to what she can do.

I wish her well. I hope she can make some positive change. But I am not getting excited simply over how she chooses to identify. I worry her constituents do not see it the same way. If they voted simply for this single aspect of the individual, it's a sad day.

Is she for term limits?

What's her stance on taxes and gun ownership?

Don't care 'bout anything else.

Very interesting, but stupid. I'll admit, I am from a very small camp, through the woods, over a river, on the edge of a cliff, where people believe that a person preoccupied with sexuality is unfit to lead anything. That is where agenda starts and leadership ends. Good luck with all of that.

Well, hmmm. I don't really want him/her voting on military or national security, but fixing potholes and traffic might be her thing. It's a local election, the people spoke and that's good. I truely believe these people are ok, but I also strongly believe war and the front lines are not the place for somebody worried about their makeup. It's an ugly thing to say, but true.
On a side note, in the video, there is a Wednesday 13 banner behind them. I saw them a while back and they were awesome! I love the whole horror metal stuff. Which oddly enough, I saw quite a few trannies there. I also bought a shirt from his old band "Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13"! People ask about that shirt every time I wear it.

Referring to another human being as an "it" says far more about your character than it does the voters in her district. Why not judge her platform instead of worrying about the gender identity?

You are delving into dangerous territory with this comment.

And your wish has been deflected back on you 10 fold..sorry to say.

Mental instability will NOT be the rule of law no matter how bad the damaged conceives it.

In terms of what the general public (especially conservatives) views as "sensationalist" or "weird", yes. The two are correlated.

Her point with Trump inspiring her was that there's nothing in her past more embarrassing than what Trump has so she felt there wasn't any reason not to run.

If you noticed, this thread is specifically about her opponent choosing to focus on that. This thread is about the first thrash metal president.

Her opponent was the only one of the two "preoccupied with sexuality".

We've had a gender queer mayor in Oregon (Silverton) since 2009 and then there's Kristin Beck (who was in Seal Team Six, actually) who won her nomination but not the congressional seat (in fairness, she didn't win the congressional seat so maybe she doesn't count).

Plus, just like in real life, you don't always know if you chose a transsexual, lol.
