Oil. You've found oil on Mars!

In one move you've proved the case for vast amounts of hydrocarbons being abundant in space clouds and disprove the old theories of oil being the product of dead dinosaurs and vegetation.

I guess they've been keeping that a secret from us.

Here's the source Mars Express image: viewer.mars.asu.edu... but I have trouble locating it in Google Earth or in the Image Explorer website. Lat 0° and Long 169° lead to a completely different area or Mars (flat and devoid of large craters).

Any help locating it would be appreciated.

Ok, found the actual area (approx -70 N, 170 E).

There's one HiRISE image, of the dark dunes in the topmost crater: hirise.lpl.arizona.edu...

The second crater from the top is nicely-shown in this CTX camera image: viewer.mars.asu.edu...

So, can we all settle on them being dark sand dunes?
