It was so close I could only focus on the eyes, but I do remember it had a big head, like wide.

You know, I have actually toyed with that idea to try to explain it away once. However, I absolutely know what I saw. I believe she was being controlled. She was a very good, smart girl who would never hurt a fly. She would save horseshoe crabs on the beach instead of playing in the water.

She was highly intelligent, and religious as well. We went to bible camp together. I truly don’t think she had any control over what happened.

She might have been used innocently, but she has to know who told her to bring you there and lie about it being a plane crash. Because she brought you to where that (monster) was waiting.

Start there. Call her and insist on knowing who_that_was.

Beforehand, consider that it could have been someone she knew and you met that was 'kind of creepy'.

One day at 'summer camp' me and one other kid were forced to drink a beverage. The next thing I remember was waking up hours later. I know it was hours because we drank it in the morning and when I woke up it was dinner time.

Earlier, I had surprised one of the counselors under the covers with that other kid in our cabin. The same cabin counselor that forced us to drink the beverage.

This and other reasons is how I eventually came to put two and two together.

I have seen red lights or eyes, not sure. They were accompanied by crackling sounds. I was haunted back then. I also saw a swamp fire flying once.

Interesting, my experience happened in the early 70s as well
