Wow!
Normal Americans can finally watch the show again.

“Normal” Americans have been watching and loving SNL since it’s inception and SNL has never been shy about ridiculing Democrats when the opportunity arises.

It’s only the conservative snowflakes who’ve been unable to accept how truthful their comedy can be. But then, they never have been good with the truth.

Furthermore, If you’re of voting age and you have even one “Trumpy Bear,” you’re probably not as “normal” as you may think.

‘Saturday Night Live’ Trolls The Stiff, Boring Democrats

Huffpost Source

Next time up at bat, though, Pelosi and Feinstein concede, “We can’t just appeal to coastal elites.” The Dems will have to think of the “mouth breathers from Wisconsin” and the “window lickers from Ohio.” And they’ll focus on jobs, “like converting Confederate monuments into statues of prominent lesbian poets,” says Pelosi.

Wow!
Normal Americans can finally watch the show again.

One thing that conservates/rightists/republicans/libertaritans can seem to grasp is that the left mocks itself all the time, it fights internally all the time, it airs it's dirty laundry all the time and has a sense of humor about it.

The right tends to denial about it's inadequacies whereas the left tends to mock itself.

It is funny and gives a perspective that needed to be stated:

The democrats need to stop sitting on their laurels. Yes they won, this is 2017. And that is fine and dandy, however, 2018 is coming up here real quick, and that will be the election where the country will vote on Trump, as it will determine if people like Trumps policies or they despise him and it will be reflected more at the national level.

Unless SNL has exclusive access of Clinton being indicted I won't be watching.

Then the show would have the highest number of viewers ever.

Yeah, but I don't think that sort of thing happens in the SNL time slot. It is live, after all.

i liked 1975 to1980 first cast, the not ready for prime time players. many of them were former national lampoon players.
we use to stay home on Saturday nights untill midnight to watch them before going out to party.

then the 1980 to 85. then 1990 to 1995

I think it shows that non-conservatives can laugh at themselves...

You mean 'Democrats,' not "non-conservatives." Please. Don't try to speak for so many.

And rarely. Very rarely.

Republicans can be moderate or slightly liberal.

Yeah. I know. Not all "non-conservatives" are "laughing at themselves" when they laugh at this skit poking fun at the Democratic party.

Those would be RINOs. I think that's the term.
I hear they are more hated than Democrats.

Well that's true. Generalizations are never good.

Ok, I stand corrected.

However, I loathe considering myself a "Democrat," so I was trying to make it easier for me to say.

ETA: With respect to this particular SNL skit, I can identify with the comedy of the wishful thinking of these folks as the election returns came in.

I think ATS citizen "TrueBrit" best described the group that I fall into: "People who would rather be buggered by a red hot poker than have Donald Trump as president." Or something to that effect.

Normal Americans = people who said hell no to Hillary.

The whole NE was blue in 2012. You saying they aren't "normal" when they vote against Hillary but are normal when they vote Obama?

If you mainly vote for Democrats, then you are one. That's the litmus test.
