Elsagate

If you have kids you may be a bit like my wife, she gives a tablet to my son and let him watch videos of his interest, I have told her time after time that after a few videos of auto play you may end in something very different of the original intended video.

Very recently I found out about elsagate, and to the best of my knowledge, this have not been discussed here in ATS, so I you a parent, or have a kid in charge, beware of what you may find in YouTube.

So to be short elsagate refers to a series of videos and channels that are appearing in YouTube directed at children on which popular cartoon characters, like frozen ’s Elsa, from where the name of the phenomena comes, do perverted sexual or violent things. So far the motivations of the perpetrators are not clear but it may be related to pedophile.

The perpetrators seem to be organized and they make their channels so the YouTube algorithms associate them to real channels that provide content for little children.

I don’t want to link any of those videos or channels but if you really want to look for it, it’s right there, on youtube, the most family friendly video service.

Access to any nursery rhyme or kids’ TV favourite characters with a quick search on YouTube or its safe child-friendly YouTube Kids platform is a boon to busy parents who want something safe for young children to watch. But ‘Elsagate’ is a sinister phenomenon that has surfaced – and all parents need to know about how children’s favourites are being subverted to bombard impressional youngsters with creepy content...

Some people are just too sick

I just present this as a heads up for parents here and for you to be aware and speculate your best conspiracy theories about this sickness.

one of the videos i posted made a nice observation that some of this channels use expensive animation techniques and are of long duration, this videos are monetized and even as they display Disney characters, Disney does not take them down, hmmm

This has been going on for years, you can find the culprits over on 4-Chan. They think it's hilarious to put up videos of kids programs and intercut them with hardcore porn.

The videos I posted are not one of the channels, they are explaining what this is, a link is provided in the quote that have a list of all channels and the content they cover.

Some of these videos have millions of views, reporting seems to be doing nothing

Not really. Yeah you may take down one, but they use algorithmic formulas with the titles to just pop up again. Look at the number of views on some of them..... And they have hundreds of those videos on a single channel.

Some of them are just insanely stupid, others are covertly sexual. It's quite disturbing that YT still monetizes crap like this while demonetizing other people actually just putting out useful content.

Even if trademark infringement using a character engaging in porn, the point remains: hard to believe YT would allow the obscene content to remain after reporting and if children can view it.

The BBC first reported on the disturbing video in March. Posted to YouTube last year, the clip looks and sounds similar to a real Peppa Pig video and even involves a similar situation - going to the dentist.

But the knockoff video is punctuated with the disturbing sound of a child wailing in the background. When Peppa gets to the dentist's office, he injects her with a green serum and proceeds to pull out all her teeth. She then has to fight a sinister-looking masked monster. Needless to say, the real Peppa Pig's dental visit isn't nearly as horrifying.

An off-brand Paw Patrol video called "Babies Pretend to Die Suicide" features several disturbing scenarios.

Paw patrol is intended for 3 year olds

No, I didn't say it can't be there. I just said I find it hard to believe they allow obscene children's content to remain even after it has been reported.

That's well and fine. It's super creepy that these kind of videos have gotten millions of views on a single video. Lord knows what the children watching them will turn out like. You Tube can't keep up with the volume of videos these creepsters produce. You'd think Disney would be all over them for copyright infringement.
