Yes we have to be wary of the lies that some will spread to take advantage of, but what is really concerning is just how easy it would be to use the "witch hunt" to divert attention away from the scumbags that are guilty.
My worry is that the worst of the worst will be ignored while we focus upon whomever they shine the light upon.
In the over all scheme of things any assault is criminal and should be treated as such, in this vein perhaps we are witnessing just how bad it actually is.
Doesn't seem to be any easy answers for those of us who just want honesty and integrity does it?
