Under this plan, owners may keep existing weapons and magazines but may not transfer, gift, sell, etc.

How would anyone know if you gave a magazine or rifle to a family member.... well, there is only one way and of course that would mean these rifles and magazines would have to be accounted for right? How else would you keep track.

Senators Introduce Assault Weapons Ban

How about enforcing existing laws? The idiot who shot at the Church managed to get a gun because somebody managed to screw up and this guy has a history of domestic abuse. I think if more people pay more attention to this guy's personal history, none of this would have happened.

Let's make domestic abuse a felony so none of this would happen. Anyone prone to harming animals (as in harming them for sick reasons) or human beings (unless for self defense) should not obtain weapons.

Will these restrictions apply to law enforcement. Of course not.

Will security for Congress be allowed these weapons. Probably so.

I believe they are meaning 205 different types they're defining as assault weapons that will be named in the ban.

The election cycle is upon us.

Not a chance this is anything more than a campaigning tool. They know that they don't have the support, even among Democrats, many of whom own guns and are gun enthusiasts.

Fe instein announced her reelection bid exactly a month ago.

You could pass, swallow and repass your kidney stone before this thing had a chance.

Yep it is illegal to murder people.

But we have dumb assed politicians that got to get in there and tinker thinking they are doing good, and the do gooders citizens eat it up. Why because the do gooders have limited critical thinking skills.

You'ree right, it won't pass. But a little tiny bit of 'infringement' might, tagged onto some other 'compromise' bill .
