Please use this thread for reporting ad issues.

It will get noticed quicker and come to the attention of the right person.

This should be corrected now.

SO had to make an adjustment.

What I don't understand is why some members (especially long term ones) were so quick to write us off.

We have never operated in that fashion, and those who know us for so many years would know that.

So... why not point out what's going on, tell us that something we configured isn't working properly and let us deal with it? Why the immediate rush to "I'm out of here!" instead of giving us a chance to correct a problem.

It's really discouraging.

Boom this!

I have never had an issue with Ad's on ATS . I dono what some folks are on about.

The sense of entitlement on this thread is heavy and its counterproductive to what little life this site has left .

just saying .

I'm on an android phone, chrome browser. FYI.

I.... wouldn't say that a win in my book, due to the fact that Chrome tracks and keeps ALL your activity on their servers...

You know...juuuust in case you might want to take all your browsing at work home with you...yes..even though you haven't even logged into Google.....

SO had to make an "adjustment"? I don't think that term fits. Maybe "oops some one missclicked" or "we got hacked, it has been fixed now" or "we were testing the waters".

In defence of other members, no one knows if ATS would serve ads like this or not. Kind of like no one knows if world leaders are going to press the button or microchip us peons.

I’d just like to thank the ATS staff for getting the issue sorted so quickly.

Next rounds on that guy over there —>

ATS? Lets invent a conspiracy theory for the lulz!

They're working on tools to annoy the mobile users, aka smartphone-zombies. It's just one gigantic effort to bring back the oldschool ATS filled with thoughtful responses from the immobilized desktop pilots.

Ha! Gotcha!

The configuration for a new ad provider was not set up correctly. When this was pointed out to us SO examined what could be causing it. It was then corrected and now no one is having that problem anymore.

That's what I meant by adjusted.

It was really the “office party” and someone sat on the flood-site-with-ads button instead of the photocopier.

That’s the rumour going around, anyway.

Its just a finger. Arrangement of globs and runnels of greasy stuff looked like ze, err, rhymes with flans. Obvs the pic is small but it was very convincing. You should read the testimonials. But dont share them as you'll get a naughty letter from the mods

Ahh so it was like the dreaded "install the yahoo toolbar" box that is checkmarked by default and some one forgot to deselect.

Problem has not gone away, (below carried over from today's thread on same subject) www.abovetopsecret.com... multi-soft porn pics

I just got one the same when posting back to a seemingly innocent thread ostensibly about a minor radioactive cloud over a deal of Europe these past weeks that has just been disappeared by ATS by the time I posted. That's a real pissoff, why should I waste my time on assumed nothings, then get redirected to an ATS page with crap on it.
Now we have the runaround....dreadfully pissed.

Might explain the redirect.

I know it was removed, I already have said so, in a very short time in fact. There was nothing particularly earth shaking in the thread I saw up to the point of posting, and some of it had been covered by the press anyway. You are always redirected when a thread is removed, but it should not be an ATS page half full of absolute junk.
There should be better ways of doing things anyway, instead of this 'tough titty' atitude. Anyway, regardless of the crappy ads this is supposed to be a conspiracy site...Above Top Secret right?...wrong! nothing top secret will remain here for long....sorry to say.
