Yup, i find them pretty obtrusive as they take up a sixth of my mobile screen. It's just life on t'internet tho.

Iirc it's been stated that in some more exteme cases, threads could be pulled if they deterred advertisers due to their objectionable content.

So i'm being a bit daft and sniffy in return and stating that i'd hoped for a better standard of offered product than "something to try tonight before i ever take viagra again".

I preferred it when i got offered russian chicks, tents, and books and ting. Chance i'll invest in them.

The content is user donated.

The mods are volunteers.

This is hilarious.

Those damned phone ads, man I open he new posts page, almost instantly the thing pops up bottom of the screen. I carefully try to scroll without touching that area, but no matter what next thing I know the ad page opens up. I hit the back button to get back to the listings page again but end up back in Google search results. Have to open the site again fresh, and then it'll let me scroll a little before it pulls that BS on me again.

The only way i can stop them on android is to press the 3 dots at the top of my browser (chrome android) and select "request desktop site". It makes reading on my phone not so easy, but better than having to close a pop up every page i go to.

Today's the first day I've ever seen an ad on ATS. I didn't even know what it was at first. It seems so foreign. I get them on every page refresh. Luckily no sloppy penis or zit pics.
