Here is a nice catch...

No clue what it is, but it was live broadcast.. so forget CGI

Title says all.

Notice how it is actually descending in the city, so rule out falling star and alikes too.

Where in Oklahoma? If it's where I think it is, I'll be heading there (family lives there) for Thanksgiving. Was that across Highway 75? Like the other poster said, that thing was trucking!!!

I'm going to say what a lot of people are probably thinking and call it a falling star/meteor... but I don't know. It looks pretty strange, when you consider the odds.

Is it an illusion or doe's it actually slow down around the 6 second mark ?

It actually did
We can rule out a meteor, meteors do not slow down.

Shooting star? Russian ICBM? Tom Delonge's taxi? No idea but really interested in what the more knowledgable folk around here think. Excellent vid! S&F!

Shouldn't there be an (minor) impact then in the city? You notice how it does not go over the horizon, but straight into the city.

We could argue if it is a cilinder or it is the speed that makes it look like a cylinder.

Good one..

got a consistent size and speed.. very fast..

I was thinking the sky was a overlay footage in fast forward.. but that was bunk since it moved into the normal speed frame.
And it aint a plane, drone, bird, fireworks or something close to the lens.. So I say it must be a UFO for now.

It moves too fast and it is too dark to get something resembling an image

Last September, my ole lady and I saw what looked exactly like that!

Coolest thing we've ever seen.

I would think the camera isn't capable of clearly resolving a fast moving objects so it appears elongated. How much, don't know.

excuse me, i was wondering about the obvious distance........ends quickly in front of the buildings.......so did it start by the camera.....yep...it is attenuated as it goes.......speedwise.....

Could it be just an illusion being cast by a bug or bird going by?

I'm no expert, but i think that's highly unlikely.

To straight, to much "dept" in view.

If it was a meteor, someone in an Oklahoma suburb is going to be filling out a very unusual insurance claim form tonight! Great video, and on the face of it an unimpeachable source. Will keep an eye on this thread to see what comes out of it.

This was a video posted by the news station in March of 2015

Apparently there never was a conclusive explanation although they sought the opinion of the OKC Astronomy Club who said it is a meteorite. Take that for what its worth.

This happened between the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort and Shawnee
