Netflix paid for the entire production. Thats why its high quality.

This show didnt earn that 2nd season.

Yes but their fee is so large it covers production.

No one is denying this. Its part of the reason it was done through the license from the movies.

That means they cant use direct influence since CBS has that right. Thats why its all kind of JJ'ed up to look like the movies kind of.

EDIT TO ADD:
Notice how no one is making merchandice really. No one wants to take the risk seeing its ACTUAL popularity and the associated fees on it all.
