They are doing everything they can to deflect attention onto somebody.....ANYBODY....else. Ummm, no. The investigation is into Russian activities to TRY to influence the election and any support they may have had from Americans - including Trump campaign officials.

There is no one claiming that the election was actually influenced - apart from those still crying about losing.

Like I said - zero proof or claims from the investigation. We have however been told that no votes were changed from any hacking. So if you'd like to isolate some Facebook ads, and other online Russian activity as an influence on the result you'd have to prove it - and prove that the propaganda from other media also didn't effect it the other way. My major fear over this whole shebang: Is that Trump would want to start a war ( or World War 3 maybe?) with North Korea, just to deflect attention (the threat of impeachment) from the Mueller investigation.

Maybe, but no doubt the generals and senior cabinet officials have discussed this as well and have plans to box him in if he fully spins off the rails.

He is dangerously incompetent and has some disorders at play, but folks like McMasters are well aware of it.
