In answer to the second question, undoubtedly yes.
As we now know, thanks to Donna Brazille, the Dem party was and is in complete disarray. They had internal strife, and big time money issues. They screwed Brernie at Hillary's behest.
Hillary's campaign lost her the midwest. SHE did that to herself by not even campaigning there, while Trump was holding packed rallies.
She's cold and impersonal, and has the charisma of a snake. She comes off as abrasive, arrogant and elitist.
Russians my a**.
She was simply the worst candidate they could have possibly chosen. I'm an Independent, I have voted Democrat many times in the past. Probably more than I've voted Republican. But my mind was made up about her twice over. First was in the Clinton years with her sick responses to Bill's accusers. Second was when she announced she was running for Senate in NY. I knew at that moment she was aiming for the White House, and so did everyone else. She has always treated it as an entitlement. She expected it to happen.
She had baggage. LOTS of baggage.
The Russians didn't influence anyone to vote against Hillary. Hillary did that just fine on her own.

Guess you didn't check in with Bernie, Donna or Elizabeth...or the ocean of other people who say the same.
Baffled why some people continue to hold water for HRC.

I am tired of "Bernie should have won" because, frankly, he lost. He was not robbed. I voted for him in the primaries because I liked some of his ideas. I let it go when he lost, in spite of Russia trying to help him take Dow HRC.
Donna is not a trustworthy person. Elizabeth is not being fair minded and the facts do not bear out for any "Bernie was robbed" narrative.

I was actually going to vote for Sanders, for the Same reason I voted for Trump.
Either one was like lobbing a virtual grenade into the Washington DC Machine.
It needed done.

I think what you're missing is that Trump supporters were always going to be Trump supporters because they were never going to be Hillary supporters. You don't need the Russians to make you like him and hate her (or vice versa), they do a good job of that on their own.
Something that I always find quite difficult with ATS is that ATS represents a very small proportion of the population.
It has a predominately right leaning membership who also lean toward conspiracy and as such strong mistrust of government so in terms of our community on ATS, yes you do have a very good point. However I think for the wider electorate not so much.
Trumps supporters have fell for this massive Russian propaganda campaign in the most spectacular way possible and as a result the desired outcome for the Kremlin has been achieved.
