You said "the Right Wing" as if "she" were Tucker Carlson.

Tucker Carlson is a good example of the disinfo and nuttery of the Right Wing.

I've read quite a bit of what you have written, and quite frankly I find it to be amusing at times, and downright concerning (for you) at others.

The CIA isn't behind everything. I find you give shady organizations far to much credit and attribute a lot more competence to organizations and people than they truly deserve.

Nah, call the General and save some time. State Farm would take to long and keep us all away from ATS

Dude everyone a bunch of trolls anymore.

I've even taken to referring to humans as Homo trollius in recent months over it.

This Red Scare angle, ZOMG OH NOES!!

They're just doing more of what we do to ourselves for sport.

The Russian trolls a bunch of wannabes if you axe me.

In fact scores of them getting to know our politics might ought be a good thing for them way over there, except how insane Establishment Pop Politics is, how desperate people are to self delude themselves with the corporate fake reality viewpoint BS, we're setting a colossal disaster of an example for the rest of the species.

It has to be so entertaining for them, can you blame the actual trolls? I mean how much effect can they be having unless there are MILLIONS of them dedicated to the task (in comparison to the whole lot of US combined)? In terms we're familiar with, assuming their efforts are mere drops in the barrel, the whole effort could be merely tantamount to some waste of money pork barrel project...

...stuff along the lines of this thing here anyways. The organizing actual protests now that's something far more relevant.

Come debate me on my sig pieces then. Or is it you in denial??? The answer is easy as nobody has ever actually tried to. It's best for beLIEvers in the grand deception the TV has raised everyone on to skip on by my works like they never happened.

Fake news did not become an issue until it was shown the Right was completely owned by fake news factories.

Complety owned by them?

Prove it or you are lying.

You push the very fake news and lack of logic that those people not only prey on, but profit from.

And what's worse is I'm fairly confident that guys like Tucker Carlson don't even believe for one second the stuff they're saying. They know it'll captivate their audience. They know it'll get people upset and their ratings will improve.

If you can find what triggers people, you can exploit that to make money. I'm 99% certain most right-wing pundits have become masters at scaring the hell out of conservative people because their thinking patterns are so predictable. There's truly only a few wedge issues to cover, and you can beat those with a dead horse over and over, all while raking in insane profits.

Poor conservatives will toss all their money at conservative pundits, I've seen it first hand.

No money for baby formula this paycheck honey, I bought us tickets to go see Trump at a campaign rally! It's OK though, once he's president all the immigrants will get kicked out and I'll be given an awesome job!

If you are afraid of Twitter then don't read it.

I don't have a Twitter so I don't have to worry about being brainwashed by 'evil' Russians. ATS has more than enough well-vetted information for all of us.

Hardly.

ATS is a pit of disinfo and propaganda.

People on this site are more misinformed than any other group of people I have encountered.

But that’s why we have you to save us from our ignorance.

i linked a state farm ad from 4 yeats ago that would help you with this issue

hint: its on the internet....

nothing to add about hillary and trump dropping 81 mil on facebook ads?

yeah that didnt "influance" anyone...

$81 million on Facebook ads is a ton of money and they have companies like CA that will help them tailor the same ad with hundreds of iterations and platforms like Facebook will give them the marketing tools they need to microtarget the ads to maximum effect.

I'm really not understanding the pushback I'm getting here.

"Well isn't this worse?"

It's worse to be murdered than to have your kneecaps shot. If I said there was a rash of kneecappings, would people being saying, "So what? Isn't murder worse?"

Or another way to think of it is that 20 years ago we just had ads. Sure, they'd tailor those ads for certain demographics, certain regions but in a medium like print or TV, tens of thousands if not hundreds or millions are going to see the same thing. Then they started microtargetting to maximize the impact. Now they can deliver one of hundreds of iterations of dozens of ads with an even finer grain targetting. Nanotargetting I guess it could be called?

And if that's not bad enough, where as in the past, to agitate a group, you needed a real person to go undercover, these days an interested party can just deploy a whole group of fake people to agitate.

And the media? Now we have the "Balkanization" of the media too where any confirmation bias can be fed to the point that people are so immersed in bubbles that we're effectively living in different realities. And these things aren't happening in vacuums, they're integrated so you hop on Facebook, get some fake news links targeted at you specifically with stories that embed Tweets to show you that lots of other people believe the same # you've just sold been.

"Orwellian" has been bandied about for decades but it's never, ever, been more applicable.

Oh, just wait, they likely think he's a conglomeration of Russian Trolls too. That guy on TV isn't actually Tucker Carlson. He's a paid crisis actor.

I love how I have now supposedly fallen victim to propaganda pushed by someone whose name I've never even heard of before this thread.
