Review of 'Sky Fighters" aka China's Top Gun

Hey since they hacked into our aviation databases why not spoof one of our most beloved aviation movies. As the review points out its basically a clone that conforms to the PLAAF and Communist parties ideals of what their air force should be etc. In an imiatation of the iconic scene where maverick is packing an F-14 on his motorcycle, Sky Fighters" uses bluecreen, Chinese operatic music, and CGI so bad the review describes it as "so bad it looks like a cut scene from a Facebook game.Also, no one aparently has a catchy callsign like maverick of Goose, rather numbers like 728 and 890 LOL I will be watching it in its entirety and it should prove interesting to say the least.

not the first time, they did something like this.
they used a clip from top gun once to promote one of their fighters.

I know, but this is a whole feature length film apparently taken directly from the Top Gun script except that the Maverick character is a by the book pilot who follows all the rules...... Exciting no?

The use of CGI also leads to bizarre flying antics, such as when a computer-generated J-10 fighter "like a race car. Planes fly in straight lines at a 10-degree angle of attack. At one point the main character tilts the nose of his plane vertically and the plane plows forward through the air, belly first, for 24 seconds. To stirring orchestra music, of course.

guess he never heard of thrust vectoring, or when he says "drifts horizontally " that the scenes in top gun were real and flown by navy pilots.

Cant forget the French version called Sky Fighters..

FYI the movie was a complete flop here in the middle kingdom. Chinese audiences have been raised on Hollywood blockbusters they know a cheap copycat when they see one. I think it spent 1 week at the cinema if I recall correctly.

Kind of direct to download? I can imagine It would not hold up. Was it strictly a government production or simply a new cinema house that misread its audience?
