What is the ATS social wall, and I don't have any friends. I also lost 1000 points

I just stumbled across the wall and friends feature on ATS, I never knew this existed.

I'm curious if these features perform any function on ATS and people use them or not? I don't really like the stars, but others do and I understnad why they are there, but other bits confuse me.

I also got in trouble for being rude the other day and was docked some points (1000 I think). Maybe this is why I have no friends, perhaps not, but do these points perform any function?

I have only been here a short time, and during explorations of the site I am finding some seemingly discombobulated features.

I know how to find the wall but I don't know how to add friends. I have two I think though I'm not very popular around here. Anyway welcome. I hope you get more friends than me.

The "wall" and the act of "friending" are both features which used to be more prominent, and have been sidelined and almost forgotten in recent years.
Also there is no longer any visible record of the number of points you possess, and you can no longer do anything with them anyway.
However, my mini-profile background colour was "bought" by the use of 200 points, and I thought it was worth every penny at the time.

P.S. The wall now records only those users you have yourself "friended".
There is no longer a separate list of those who have "friended" you.That is why your list is blank.

Some of those features (like points) are holdovers from earlier versions of ATS. Everyone is subject to docking of points for violations of Terms and Conditions, you aren't being singled out.

People used to use the wall feature more, its accessible for any member thru their profile, accessible by clicking on the 'little green man' in the bottom of member Avatar.

No, and no, but I do have a couple of real life friends (very anachronistic I know), so perhaps that will have to suffice.

Hey, take no notice of the number of friends.

Not many members use the friend function anymore which makes it a bad metric to measure popularity.

I've never really used the wall. I actually forgot about it until you brought it up. It turns out I make 0.59 posts a day, so congratulations on getting nearly double that out of me lol. Also, what are points and where do you find them? Also, what is a WATS score and is it important?

You shouldn't alarm the OP, who has just lost 1000 of them. The points which are nominally "lost" for misbehaviour don't actually form part of current stats calculations.
