So, photos of the suspect have been released. It is a white male. He walked in nonchalant, and opened fired randomly.

Very sick, deranged person. His photo is on the page linked above.

Two dead males, one dead female. This is a very, very busy shopping center, I used to frequent the area a lot. It's one of the little hubs in Thornton where the teens hang out, and people go to shop and hang out.

SHOOTER IS NOT IN CUSTODY (As of 01:30 MST). Thornton Police Dept twitter account has photos also and is asking for people to call Crime Stoppers with info, or the Thornton Police dept.

---

Shame on you all for making this about race/religion. This isn't reddit / 4chan / facebook.

Tearing apart the story, finding the details, and information is what we should be doing. Not acting like a bunch of kids arguing about which color tights the bad guy was wearing.

Don't matter what color skin, or what religion this psychopath was a part of.

I Thoroughly disappointed with several of you.

If he's brown skinned you can be sure there will be people ridiculously outraged over it, if it's a white guy expect "prayers for the families" and "what a tragedy" schticks without much outrage.

And regardless of race of the perpetrator(s), you'll get people like me who questions, once more, America's inane right to keep and bear arms. How long are you guys gonna put up with your citizens (and let's face it, those of other countries) being killed due to the insanely easy to get legal firearms (and due to the sheer number of legal firearms, how easy it is to get them illegally).

But, but, but I want my chance to be there when one of these incidents happen and dish out some good ol' American justice. Yeah, because so often these plots are foiled by armed citizens? If even 3 out of 10 of these incidents were stopped by armed and concerned citizens this argument might hold some water.

Another tragic loss of life brought to you by a law that's 226 years old on the 15th of December. My hearts go out to those caught up in this, I can only imagine how terrifying it must be to fight for your life. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of the dead.

I hope this madness ends soon, this is happening all too often and I'm not just talking about shootings I mean the bombings, the vehicular homicides, knife attacks and don't even get me started on Syria, Yemen and the while stinking world stage.

People suck, we don't deserve the planet we live on!!

I don't know what the self defense laws in Colorado, but those who are able to carry a weapon for self defense should seriously consider doing so.

Having a gun might lull your average citizen into a false sense of security but at the end if the day are more likely to shoot another civilian, or miss entirely. All this bravado from people who think guns are a good thing is so sickening.

My point is that if it's a brown guy then it suddenly speaks for all brown people, but if it's a white guy then it only speaks for him as an individual and not all white people.

Are you denying that that isn't usually the case?

You're kinda right. If he was a black man a lot of white people will think he speaks for all black men. Being a white man, a lot of black people will think he speaks for all white men. Racism is becoming less one sided these days.

Blue, hope everything is well with your husband. There aren't a whole lot of details right now, but it appears they took a lot of people away in a van to give statements or be interviewed. There are photos and a story I read somewhere showing a white van escorting witnesses somewhere.

I'm trying not to be melodramatic, but I'm a little worried this morning. I have had no responses to messages I sent him, and his phone is going to voicemail.
I just talked to his mother, who said he had told her he was taking some of his french coworkers to a big store to show them a "typical" american store and so they could buy stuff before going back. Could anything be more representative of a big american store than Walmart??? I know he goes nuts there with all the variety for such cheap prices.

I hope I hear from him soon. He probably was not there at that time, but the more time passes without a response, the more uneasy I get.

Then I have my daughter, her husband and my two years old grandchild arriving in California this morning, and my melodrama starts to go into internal rants that there seems to be so much violence over there I don't want any of my family ever going back!

I'm just being a worrisome wife and mother....

Why do people assume if its a false flag it must be no deaths..

Why not the shooter (if not caught) was an agent brought in from another country to do the deed then get sent home/dropped in a hole somewhere, or its a crazy guy pushed to shoot, or a normal guy drugged heavily/family captured and held to force his hand before all the above end up in a hole.

Lots of ways it could be a false flag, and still have corpses.

Does anyone know of any way to find out the identities of the victims ? I'm starting to lose it here....

Best I can tell you is to call the Thornton police department directly and see if they can help you.

Keeping my fingers crossed your hubby went elsewhere, maybe he was happily munching the regional edibles and snoozing well?

Thank you! Now that I see that, I realize I could have thought of looking up that info, but I think my mind is getting muddled as I start to freak out.

i understand a false flag, i was commentating on the way it's morphed due to alex jones types rants.
conspiracies, cover ups and controversies were much less about getting quick likes on social media and more trying to dig beneath the surface.
it's a shame, every very real tragedy nowadays has many naysayers with many different versions of how it didn't happen, never why it happened though.

I don’t understand how in a matter of 3-4 hours there is already a video surveillance picture of a possible perpetrator and his car from Wal-Mart yet Mandalay Bay doesn’t have any surveillance video/pictures of Stephen Paddock.

Wal-Mart has better surveillance videos than Las Vegas? Hmmmmm....

Depressing... Mass shootings, school shootings, terrorism, drive-by shootings, gang related crime, young people losing respect for the sanctity of life, bullying, bigotry, divisiveness, the opiate addiction problem...

doesn't give me much faith in humanity.

Weren't there calls for banning guns over the actions of that one man? Now tell me, how is that any different than calling for the banning of certain demographics from coming into the country over the actions of a few?

There is no difference yet people are too blind to see that they're hypocrites.

See, this is where the 10% rule comes in. You have to be at least 10% smarter than the machine you are operating. In this case, a computer. You seem to not realize that nobody is banning entire demographics, what is PROPOSED is better vetting so we might be able to stop one or two of these radicalized killers from entering the country and killing based on their perception of whom they worship.

Not all Muslims are radicalized killers, but a few of them are. And if we can stop just one, we might save a few lives, and one of them might be yours.

thank God this is just a 'shooting' incident not a terrorist attack... I'd be livid and make Skittles analogies.

why did he use something which doesn't kill people and not a minivan... weird
