A gunman apparently opened fire on a crowd of pedestrians in Tribeca: by West Street and Chambers, and West Street and Houston

Edit: My brother follows a breaking news feed which I can’t find at the moment which suggests a man mowed down a cyclist and then started shooting.
I’ll try and find the source for that.

I'm listening to Fox News Radio reports. Some guy was driving a truck down a bike lane chasing another guy driving another truck they ran over some people and then one guy got out and started shooting at the other guy.

Police shot the guy, the event is over.

There is an elementary school right on the corner of West and Chambers where this happened. Thankfully, most of the kids were gone by this time.

“I saw the car crash so I ran up the bridge,” a witness at the scene told PIX11’s Myles Miller. “When I ran up the bridge, I saw this dude with two guns. The guy with the two guns, for some reason, was running around. He was getting chased. And then all of the sudden, four shots went off and we all just started running.”

Stuyvescent High. It's in the New York Post story. Maybe not a high school? I've always only heard it mentioned like a high school though.

They're still sorting through it all. Much like what happened in Las Vegas, the full extent of the Carnage takes some time to be realized.

Quite a few dead for Road Rage...and a rented Truck...hmmm....hope it is just craziness.

Yes, Stuyvesant High is near there as well. Busy area, bike path, lots of kids. Awful.

At least 6 dead now being reported. The governor is heading to the scene. They are not ruling out terrorist attack.
